google + 柯林斯英英字典（不要用金山）
使用google可以检验你的表达是中式的还是native的，因为如果表达非常中式，search bar下面会蹦出好多中英夹杂的网站链接，那么就直接否定掉。
笔者曾经翻译过一个词“班主任”，很遗憾美国的高中并不设有这样一项职位，网络上有译为teacher in charge of the cla，这属于纯粹的“意”译。外国人仍然不能第一眼看明白。于是，笔者从班主任的功能出发，想到了supervisor一词，然后再次google，非常让人兴奋的是cla supervisor一词有很多uk和美国的链接，而且supervisor是监督之意，符合班主任之职责。
使用柯林斯英英字典的理由是，他给出的英文解释和例句能够消除英汉字典中中文解释的歧义。e.g.challenge the authority在英文中用来形容英勇的行为，有较强的感情色彩，不宜修饰学生，若修饰学生直接使用 the courage to question就好，中性且无异议。
最后就是注意句式变化，特别是强调句型的应用。若需强调被推荐人的某个特质，强调句型是最理想的选择，不要通篇全都是陈述句。 篇4：高中生出国留学的推荐信

一、指导思想

6、9月5日至16日各班主任指导学生自学《江南中学学生手册》中有关内容，注意科学安排每一天的学习、生活时间，做生活和学习的主人，提高效率。
7、各科任教师在教学过程中，要注重对学习进行学习方法指导，对本学科的学习提出一些具体的要求，使学生尽快适应高中学习的要求。
