1、激发兴趣、形成习惯
在初学英语阶段，尤其对初一学生来说，朗读是十分必要的。在英语早读课上，我创设各种方法让学生朗读而不使其感到厌倦。如：将每一节早读课划分成几个时段，每一个时段都提出具体的任务和目标。（1）全班学生集体朗读短文；（2）将班级分成Red Cla 和 Green Cla两组扮演不同的角色朗读课本中的对话，然后再交换角色朗读；（3）我读问句，学生读答句或者学生读问句，我读答句；（4）我说汉语，学生译成英语等等。总之，通过各种方法激发学生读英语的兴趣，更充分地利用好早晨这个大好时光。实践证明，在朗读的过程中，一些胆怯的学生不但打破了“ 开口关 ”，大胆地进行练读，而且还渐渐地掌握朗读的技巧，对英语产生了浓厚的兴趣，并养成了朗读英语的良好习惯。
2、加强记忆，培养语感
