（一）便条的写作

便条是一种简单的书信形式。要求考生仔细阅读和分析所给的情景，确定便条所涉及的内容，如写便条者与便条接收者的身份、两者之间的关系及情景的正式程度等。

便条的特点在于内容简短，大多是临时性的询问、留言、通知、要求等。与正规书信相比，便条的语言更为口语化，比如要通知某事只需这样开头：Just a line to tell you that ...而无须像正规书信那样This is to inform you that ...开头。有急事需要告诉别人而又不能面谈时，就可以写便条，如请假条、留言条等。一般不写地址，与普通书信基本相同。结尾时也无需要结尾礼词，只需要写上便条者姓名。

便条的日期通常写在右上角，一般只要写上星期几，也可以写明上午、下午的具体时间；日常应用中，写上几月几日的也很普遍。但一般不写年份，因为便条的内容多半是当日或近日内要办的事情。

便条具有用途广泛、形式简单、文字要求不十分严格的特点。

Questions 57 to 61 are based on the following paage.

In this age of Internet chat, videogames and reality television, there is no shortage of mindle activities to keep a child occupied.Yet, despite the competition, my 8-year-old daughter Rebecca wants to spend her leisure time writing short stories.She wants to enter one of her stories into a writing contest, a competition she won last year.

As a writer I know about winning contests, and about losing them.I know what it is like to work hard on a story only to receive a rejection slip from the publisher.I also know the preure of trying to live up to a reputation created by previous victories.What if she doesn’t win the contest again? That’s the strange thing about being a parent.So many of our own past scars and dashed hopes can surface.

A revelation (启示) came last week when I asked her, “Don’t you want to win again?” “No,” she replied, “I just want to tell the story of an angel going to first grade.”

I had just spent weeks correcting her stories as she spontaneously (自发地) told them.Telling myself that I was merely an experienced writer guiding the young writer acro the hall, I offered suggestions for characters, conflicts and endings for her tales.The story about a fearful angel starting first grade was quickly “guided” by me into the tale of a little girl with a wild imagination taking her first music leon.I had turned her contest into my contest without even realizing it.

Staying back and giving kids space to grow is not as easy as it looks.Because I know very little about farm animals who use tools or angels who go to first grade, I had to accept the fact that I was co-opting (借用) my daughter’s experience.

While stepping back was difficult for me, it was certainly a good first step that I will quickly follow with more steps, putting myself far enough a way to give her room but close enough to help if asked.All the while I will be reminding myself that children need room to experiment, grow and find their own voices.
