这两个原则本来都不想写，因为觉得谁都应该知道的，可是考虑到可能还是有人没能明白这个原则，所以还是得写。我丈夫就是这样的。他的第一篇ps给我看了，他谈到了他父亲的死对他的影响，谈到了要为中国的富强做出贡献（看的我好感动），可是他对自己人生的闪光点却只字未提。我对他说要重写，而且第一篇1个字也不能保留。他的ps应该是这样的：他于某某年以全年级第一名的成绩被保送到北京大学化学系（并且此时要注明全年级有多少人），并且北京大学是全中国排名第一的大学。又因为在北京大学学习优秀，在多少多少人中脱颖而出，在某某年获得年级或系里的奖学金。并且又于某某年因为在多少人中排名多少名，被著名的北京大学保送到著名的中国科学院读研究生，等等。下面的就不用我说了吧，反正你曾经获得过什么奖励，获得过什么特殊的机会是一定要写明白的。对了，还有你的最有说服力的优势，就是你发表的论文。你的文章是在什么杂志上发表的，这个杂志有没有被sci收录，sci影响因子是多少，也一定要写清楚。这可是重头戏，对你的录取有极大帮助。所以大家千万不要小看你的文章，而且如果有可能的话，尽量往国外杂志上发。 然后是实话原则。从小在中国的政治课中教育出来的中国学生们喜欢喊口号，回忆一下我们上的作文课，语文老师谆谆教导我们写作文立意要新，眼光要高，最后都要归结为要为四化做贡献这样的大而宽的主题中去。可是，有谁能真正相信自己学习的最内在的动力是为祖国做贡献呢？写ps的时候不是展现你的爱国心的地方。一个一直在社会主义下成长和受教育的人尚且不会相信你拿学位的最大动力是因为爱国，更何况是一个西方思想的老外？所以你宁可把自己讲的普通一些，也不要给别人留下不诚实的印象。不过，你一定要谈你学习某某 专业的动机，最好也最普通的动机是你的兴趣，或是你对未来事业的设想，但是，不管你写什么，你一定要让对方相信这确实是你最内在也是最直接的动机。-----既然写了，就一定要写的象些。 5． 简洁原则：
这个原则来源于我看到的of156表上，申请学生签证时必须填的学习计划。以后大家会看到，这一项中给的空格特别小，估计也只够写下30-40字的，而学习计划则是多么庞大的一个课题啊！老公不禁抱怨美国人小气，那么节省纸张。其实，美国人倒不是为了节省纸张，而是为了节省时间。不会有人会有时间去看你的冗长的叙述的，所以你一定要写的简洁。我认为一篇ps以一张半a4纸为宜，最多也不能超过两页。一封rl也就一页纸。但是，你在这么少的篇幅里一定要写出你的个性。如果能用一句话写的，千万不要用两句话。有效的用一些同位语插入，缩短你的篇幅，当然这是以句子流畅为前提的，不要把文章写的象gre的阅读那么晦涩难懂。每段开头最好有一个topic sentence，这样让看的人可以最快的抓住主题，不要让人家看半天也不知道你想说什么。反正要用最短的篇幅反映最多的内容。譬如说我给老公在of156表上写的学习计划是这样的：某某领域，在中国正方兴未艾，而美国某某大学的某某教授是这个领域的领头羊，我相信我在某某大学学习这个专业一定会对我回到中国后，在这个领域的发展起到巨大的促进作用的。基本上两句话就够了，既说明了你学这个专业的目的，也说明了你为什么回国。 6.清楚原则：
所谓的清楚原则，就是你的ps中没有任何有疑问的地方。就象写专业论文一样，如果有缩写，在出现的第一次，你一定要写出它的全称，打个括号写上缩写（当然是除了众所周知的，譬如gre，toefl之类的）。如果你拿过奖学金，一定要象我在优势突出原则中写的那样，要注明是在多少人的竞争中拿到的。并且，你上的大学排名多少也一定要注明。因为外国人是不可能非常清楚地了解中国大学的情况的，所以你一定要给别人留下清楚的感觉。这样，你的才华才不会被埋没。
反正我想原则性的东西就这些了，具体的写作还要靠大家去自己把握。文章写好后，最好给英文好的人看一下，再请自己专业的人看一下。多找几个人最好。
其他的想法：
很多人在讨论套瓷有没有什么作用，我曾在gter的网站上看到一个台湾人写的文章，说是他得到了5个学校的offer，其中只有一个学校是套瓷得来的。确实如此，我认为套瓷的成功率只有20%，甚至更低。我老公在联系学校的时候，也套过瓷。并且他的研究方向是一种中国特有的中草药，而且他还就这种中药发表了一篇sci2.0以上的文章。当时最为难得的就是美国有一所大学的一个教授也在研究这种中药，于是就写信去套瓷，人家教授倒是很热情，信件往来了好几封，照道理来说，这所学校是最有希望的一个，可是他还是把我老公给拒了。后来是一个没有套瓷的学校给他发来的offer。所以我认为套瓷的作用不大，因为即使教授要你，可还是要通过研究生院或系里，这会儿，就看这个教授有没有实权了。 如果他讲不上话，那跟没套瓷也差不多。所以大家还是要把精力放在申请上，套瓷是你把所有材料都寄出去以后才做的事。千万不要本末倒置。 还有，我在gter上还看到一篇文章，说是春季入学是没有奖学金的。不过，我有两个同学都申请了春季入学，都拿到了奖学金。春季入学的名额虽然少，但也不是绝对没有。 好了，文章写到这里就差不多了，如果我的这篇文章能给你一些帮助的话，也就不冤枉我坐在这儿敲了一个晚上的键盘。 最后祝所有的寄托者都能实现自己的梦想。（寄托天下）

留学方案设计是你整个留学计划的灵魂，也是签证官用来衡量你留学是否真实合理的尺度，决定你的留学是否会成功和是否具有最佳经济效益。如果你对留学方案设计感到经验不足，可以向“过来人”请教，也可以去专业的留学中介机构咨询。具体操作是，在掌握留学基本信息和国外学校入学要求的前提下，结合自身的年龄、学历、经济能力、外语水平、所学专业、个人爱好等因素，设计出适合自己的一套科学合理的留学方案，对留学国别、院校、专业、入学时间等最终拍板确定。其中，特别要对留学的投入和产出“价格比”和所选专业的未来就业前景要有明确的把握。等你设计好留学方案之后，就应根据所选定目标的入门标准立即开始全面的“热身和补充”准备，包括：语言的学习与考试、留学所需的资金筹备、个人资历证明材料的准备、身体和精神状态的调整等。一俟时机成熟，就可以申请学校了。
三.入学申请
收到国外学校免费的报名表之后，要认真完整地填写，随同个人学历证明、最近的学习成绩单、推荐信、个人简历、语言考试成绩单等资料寄往所申请的学校。此时，一般均需同时交纳一定数量的报名费用。由于中国学生对申请学校往往持随意的态度，有的甚至同时申请多达7-8所学校，而学校开出录取通知书后却见不到人来，因而有越来越多的国外学校倾向于向中国学生征收报名费了。申请表格寄出以后，通常申请正式课程的需要等待1-2个月的时间才会有回信，申请英语学习短期课程的则快得多，一般只需2-3个星期。不过，还得加上邮件往来的时间，因此，为了给签证办理留有充裕的时间，建议你越早申请越好，一般提前1年就比较从容，除了短期课程，一般离开学前6个月申请就显得非常仓促了。另外，有些学校的课程是有年龄和英文程度等限制的，比如，大多数大学的语言中心对申请人都有年龄限制，一般要满16-17岁才可以，在申请时一定要注意。
在申请课程的同时，你可以向学校申请学生宿舍或寄宿家庭等住宿安排。如果你自认为学习成绩优异，特别是对于那些就读研究生以上课程的学生来说，可以一并申请国外的奖学金等对留学生的经济资助，说不定会给你个惊喜。

五.办理公证
公证就是国家公证人员根据国家赋予的权利，按照法定程序，证明特定的法律关系或法律事实的行为。我国公民在申请自费出国留学时，必须要办理公证。这类公证属于涉外公证范围。你需要公证的文件有：出生公证书，学历、学位和成绩公证，经历证书，亲属关系公证，经济担保公证。
六.申请签证
办理好护照之后，可立即向拟留学国家驻华使(领)馆申请入境签证。申请时需按要求填写有关表格，递交必需的证明材料，缴纳签证费。有的国家(比如美国、英国、加拿大等)在申请签证时会要求申请人前往使(领)馆进行面试。面试的目的是让签证官近距离观察和判断留学申请人的真实程度，即你是否一个真正的学生、你的留学目的是否纯正、你是否具备顺利完成留学的能力(主要看外语水平)，你有没有移民倾向。很多人都是因为到了这一关纷纷被签证官“挑下马来”，因此，为了保证不功亏一篑，事先找一个专业和经验丰富的留学咨询公司进行签证面试指导是很有必要的。
一些国家(如爱尔兰)可能要求在给予签证之前汇寄学费，对此务必要慎重，一定要落实你手里拿到的是正式的入学通知书，以及国际汇款账户的真实，即是否学校的专项户头。此外，有的学校要求提出申请就必须交付所有款项，所以，要至少在出发前3个月汇出。
一般向学校交费的方式有3种：到银行办理外币支票(Check)或汇票(Banker’s draft)邮寄，记得要给自己留一份复印件；电汇(Bank Transfer)，学校若提供转账银行的账号、地址和户头，不妨用此种方式，记住保存好收据；信用卡(Credit Card)，有的学校可以接受Visa、Master、AE卡等，用信用卡付费，别忘了要保存收据。
七.体检，订机票，准备行装
出国留学之前，按照国家有关规定需要进行身体检查、免疫检查和接种传染病疫苗，以保护公民的人身健康。另外，有的国家也要求申请人前往指定医院进行体检。

关于各种考试
确定一下你英语水平是什么样的。
个人认为校内的分数不足信，先做提套托福题试试看
可以考虑先把托福考了，大概给自己两到三个月左右复习，
选择今年八月中的考试（因为7月你有学校的期末考，八月考可以在暑假稍微复习），八月考完就把托福放下不想了。注意，这次很可能不是你最后一次托福成绩，如果你还打算考第二次的话建议在高三十月考，这样子最晚十一月出成绩，绝对不耽误申请学校，而且那个时候你所有英语考试应该都结束了，英语能力已经有了飞升，绝对可以考得很好，而且就算不好也可以马上就再考一次，什么都不耽误。
关于SAT，这个暑假必须开始学，建议明年六月考第一次，如果你不考SAT2的话就五月考第一次，这次应该也不是最后一次，最后一次应该在高三的十月，同样是十一月出成绩，不耽误申请。从今天开始，每天50个SAT单词不动摇，背完一遍就再来一次，始终重复。把基础打得牢牢地。
托福单词没有必要可以背，一是不太难，二是大部分都包括在SAT单词里面，只需要在考前看看分类的专业词汇。这个绝对不要买那本“词以类记”，那个上面给词太偏。可以到hi.xiaoma.com下载一些资料。
如果考SAT2，从今天开始准备，（今太晚了，还是明儿吧），大概你会考三科吧？那个最多一个月过一科，考不到750一上你就可以不用把这个成绩寄送给申请的学校叻……SAT2一律明年五月考，因为只有那个时候能考……
如果你还要考AP，那么这个暑假开始学吧，明年五月尽量考，不行的话高三的五月继续考，虽然那个时候考已经对申请学校没有帮助了，不过仍然可以抵学分，省学费也是好的。
貌似你已经高三了？
那就尽快的考托福。但是，有一个事实就是所有大学现在都把录取通知书发完了，所以申请今年的大学是没有戏的。你只剩各种社区学院可以申了。
二、关于其他准备
有一个自己的研究项目，不一定要大，但是一定要深入。 还有就是自己的LEADERSHIP，这个很重要 增加一点做志愿者的经历会很好。

近几年，出国留学的人数在不断的上升，工薪阶层家庭的孩子出国留学也不再只是一个梦想了。出国留学寄托着全家的希望。很多留学生在出国留学之后，都选择留学打工，一来可以减轻家庭经济负担，二来，通过社会实践也可以锻炼自己。以下是西安外国语大学的留学老师总结的几个比较好的打工工作：
汉语教师
我国每年都有大批学生出国留学，像北美、澳大利亚和日本等都是留学热点地区。现在很多留学生都脱离体力劳动打工的传统方式，有的留学生选择去做国际汉语教师。对外汉语教师资格证已经成为很多留学生必备的技能证明。最近几年，外国掀起学汉语的热潮。对外汉语教师资格证是从业的重要依据，到目前为止已经有88个国家承认对外汉语教师资格证的有效性。而且当汉语老师最赚钱，这样可以为中国留学生减轻很多的负担。
手机修理师
手机修理是一项有技术含量的工作。和国内相比，国外更看重的是个人能力。对于大多数出国留学的学生来说，他们几乎属于饭来伸手的类型，所以他们也不适合做体力工作。如果学会了这个有点技术含量的工作，不怕找不到工作，这个工作和其他工作相比起来，工资也还可以。
美甲师
