诗人抒情言志离不开景物描写，而景物描写方法又是复杂多样的。从景物描写手法上来鉴赏，一般要注意作者观察和描写的角度（正面和侧面、实写和虚写、动景与静景、远景与近景、形色声味等），要把握和分析景物描写的表现手法（烘托和渲染、白描和工笔、对比和衬托、比兴手法、象征手法等），要理解和辨析描写景物的修辞手法（比喻、拟人、对比、夸张、借代、用典、对偶等）。

在以上所举术语中，下面几组是考生在鉴赏中经常混淆的，现具体辨析如下：

1、烘托/渲染

烘托和渲染原都是中国绘画的一种技法，前者是用水墨或色彩在物象的轮廓外面烘托，使物象的特征更加突出；后者一般在需要强调突出的地方浓墨重彩，使画面中的形象更鲜明突出。现广泛运用于文学艺术创作，也是两种为突出事物特征的迥然不同的描写手法。

烘托主要指用乙物来托甲物，使甲物的特点更加鲜明突出，是侧面描写的一种方式。根据甲物和乙物的关系，烘托分为正衬和反衬两种形式；根据甲、乙物的对象特征，烘托又可具体分为以下几类：（1）以人烘托人。如乐府诗《陌上桑》中诗人分别借“行者”“少年”“锄者”等人的反应烘托秦罗敷惊人的美貌。（2）以物托物。如韦应物的《赋得暮雨送李胄》：“楚江微雨里，建业暮钟时。漠漠帆来重，冥冥鸟去迟。海门深不见，浦树远含滋。相送情无限，沾襟比散丝。”全诗除了首句点明描写对象“微雨”外，其余都是通过描写其它景物来写“雨”的，诗人成功运用以物托物的艺术手法，仿佛使人感觉到船帆上、鸟羽上、天际上、大树上全都笼罩着蒙蒙细雨。又如白居易的《夜雪》：“已讶衾枕冷，复见窗户明。夜深知雪重，时闻折竹声。”诗中描写的对象是夜雪，但诗人却从触觉（衾枕冷）、视觉（窗户明）、听觉（折竹声）烘托出雪之大、之猛。（3）以物托人。如柳宗元的《江雪》：“千山鸟飞绝，万径人踪灭。孤舟蓑笠翁，独钓寒江雪。”诗的前两句通过对冬天恶劣环境的烘托，刻画了钓叟的独特个性及其乐观豁达的情怀。又如白居易《琵琶行》中三次描写月光，分别烘托出了琴声的美妙和人物凄凉孤独悲伤的心情。

渲染在文学创作中主要是指通过对环境、场景或人物的行为、心理等细节描写以突出形象，加强艺术表达效果，它主要是从正面来描写对象的。如乐府诗《江南可采莲》：

“江南可采莲，莲叶何田田，鱼戏莲叶间。鱼戏莲叶东，鱼戏莲叶西，鱼戏莲叶南，鱼戏莲叶北。”

这首诗开头三句勾勒出一幅生动的江南景致图。后四句以东西南北方位的变化以鱼儿的活动为中心，显得活泼、自然、有趣。采用复沓句式而略有变化，更令人联想到采莲人在湖中泛舟来往、歌声相和相应的情景。诗中没有一字直接写人，但通过对莲叶和鱼儿的渲染，如闻其声，如见其人，如临其境，使有感受到一股勃勃生气，联想到采莲人内心的欢乐。

又如杜甫《兵车行》中的第一段，作者着意描绘了送别的场面，从而表达了人民对战争的厌恶之情。

2、衬托/对比/烘托

诗词中描写的景物往往不止一个，其地位也不是并列的。“衬托”“对比”“烘托”这组术语就反映了景物描写的角度和主次关系。高考中经常考查考生对景物描写的分析，但考生不明白这三者的区别，往往混为一团。

衬托和对比都是把一些事物放在一起进行比较，从而突出另一事物的特征。但二者有着鲜明的差异：对比主要强调事物间的差异性，所列举的事物都是并列关系，无主次之分。如姜夔的《扬州慢》、李白的《越中览古》等怀古、凭吊类的诗歌大多通过古今对比来表达物是人非的伤感或黍离之悲。而衬托是为了突出事物的特征，所列举的事物间有主有次，并非平等、并列关系。如白居易的《夜雪》一诗中，描写的主要对象是“夜雪”，诗中还描写了冰冷的衾枕，明亮的窗户、折断竹子的声响，所举事物间有主有次，采用的就是衬托手法。

衬托和烘托手法的异同：相同点是所列举的事物间都有主次之分，都是为强调突出主要事物的特点。当二者所列举的事物不止一个时，这两种手法可以通用。但衬托只是烘托的一种具体形式，烘托是用一事物暗示出另一事物，主要事物不一定交待出来；衬托是两种事物都得交待，二者相互映衬。烘托必须采用多个次要事物来突出主要事物，而衬托可以是一对一的映衬，也可以是多对一的映衬。

需要补充说明的是正衬和反衬的异同，这两个述语是衬托手法的两种具体运用。正衬是指用相同性质或特点的事物来衬托。如杜甫的《绝句》：“江碧鸟愈白，山青花欲燃。今春看又过，何日是归年？”以“江碧”衬“鸟白”，以“山青”衬“花红”，颜色与景物相映成趣。反衬是利用事物的对立面来衬托另一事物。这种手法在借景抒情诗中运用十分广泛而典型，一般分为：以乐景写哀情和以哀景写乐情。前者如欧阳修的《踏莎行》借春日的美景来反衬词人的离别情感；后者如李白的《塞下曲》（五月天山雪）借助天山恶劣的环境来表达戍边战士的乐观的革命情怀。

3、白描/工笔

白描本是中国画技的一种，一般用墨线粗线条勾勒，不着颜色，移用到文学创作上，即用简练的笔墨，不加烘托，简洁明了地刻画出鲜明生动的形象的一种描写手法。采用白描手法写的诗歌，看似平淡，细细品味，却意味深长。如孟浩然《春晓》、陶渊明的《归园田居》（少无适俗韵）都惜墨如金，分别粗线条的勾勒出春天的景象和诗人归隐田园的情景。

而工笔则是对事物注重局部细节描写，对之进行精雕细刻、浓墨重彩的描写。如王维的《待储光羲不至》：“重门朝已启，起坐听车声。要欲闻清佩，方将出户迎。晚钟鸣上苑，疏雨过春城。了自不相顾，临堂空复情。”诗人紧扣题目中的“待”字，描写了诗人等待客人到来的种种情景：清早启门待客来，但坐立不安，时坐时起。接着又描写听觉上的幻境，然后又通过景物描写（晚钟鸣上苑、疏雨过春城），从早到晚，友人还是没有来，而是自己多情（空复情）。在诗中，诗人通过一系列的细节描写（动作、神态、心理、景物），表达了盼望好友到来的急切心情以及好友未至的怅惘心情。

4、虚实相生/动静结合

虚实相生和动静结合是古诗词中描写景物最常用的两种角度。在高考命题中，分析诗词虚实和动静手法的题目出现频率较高，考生在具体辨析时也容易混淆。

虚实相生在诗词中是指现实中的景、物、事与想象中的景、物、事互相映衬，相互渗透和转化，交织在一起表达同一种思想或情感的艺术手法。它能大大丰富诗中的意象，开拓诗的意境，为读者提供广阔的审美空间，充实人们的审美情趣。

在文学作品中，“实”与“虚”只是相对的，所谓“实”是指客观世界中存在的景、物、境，包括客观的、具体的、有据的、有形的、已知的、现实中的、眼前耳濡目染的各种“象”。所谓“虚”是指虚拟的景、物、境，包括主观和、无形的、无据的、假设的、已经过去的或者未来将出现的景象，还包括梦境和神仙鬼怪世界等。如在柳永的《雨霖铃》一词中，上片除“念去去千里烟波，暮霭沉沉楚天阔”虚写外，写的都是眼前实景实物实情，写词人与心上人不忍分离又不得不分别的心情；下片主要描写了别后生活的设想，全是虚写。全词虚实结合，淋漓尽致地抒发了别离时的依依不舍的心情。又如李白的《梦游天姥吟留别》和《古风》（西上莲花山）及李清照的《渔家傲•记梦》三首游仙诗都是通过描写光怪陆离的仙境来反映现实社会的黑暗。

在诗词中，虚景与实景的关系，有时是相反相成形成鲜明的对比来突出中心。如姜夔的《扬州慢》中虚写了昔日扬州城十里长街的繁华景象，实写了经过战乱后的“尽荠麦青青”的凄凉景象，一实一虚两幅画面对比鲜明，深切抒发了词人的黍离之悲。有时是相辅相成形成渲染烘托关系来突出中心。如欧阳修的《踏莎行》，上片实写，通过初春景象来反衬行人的离别愁绪，下片虚写，通过假想妻子凭栏远望，思念行人的愁苦之相，来写愁思，妻子思念丈夫，丈夫想念妻子。

动、静是对诗词中的景、物作动态或静态角度的描写，它往往通过比喻、拟人、夸张等修辞手法来生动形象地写出了景物的特征或寄寓作者思想情感。动、静两者相互映衬，构成一种情境和意趣。如王维的《山居秋暝》在前三联中成功地运用了动静结合和虚实结合的手法，为读者描绘了一幅静谧、恬淡的田园图画，诗中有画，画中有诗。这为后面作者表达归隐思想作铺垫。

四、其它类

1、比喻/象征

比喻就是打比方，它根据事物之间的相似点，把某一事物比作另一事物，使语言表达更生动形象的一种修辞手法。比喻的基本结构包括本体、喻体、比喻词三部分，从形式上看可分为明喻、暗喻、借喻三种。如白居易的《琵琶行》中描写琴声高低变化：“大弦嘈嘈如急雨，小弦切切如私语。嘈嘈切切错杂弹，大珠小珠落玉盘。”诗人用“急雨”“私语”“大小珍珠”来比喻琴声高低变化的情景。如骆宾王的《咏蝉》在第

五、六句中，纯用比喻修辞手法：“露重”“风多”比喻社会环境的压力；“飞难进”比喻政治上的不得意；“响易沉”比喻言论上受压制。蝉如此，人也如此，全诗诗人以蝉自喻，抒发自己壮志未酬的情感。

象征是指借助描写具体形象的外在特征来表现某种抽象深邃的概念、思想、情感的艺术创作手法。象征的本体意义与象征意义之间本没有必然联系，但通过艺术定对本体事物特征的突出描写，会使读者产生由此及彼的某种联想，从而领会艺术家所表达的思想、观点、情感等抽象的意义。象征可以根据人们习惯和约定束成，往往选择人们所熟悉的象征物作为本体，表达一种特定的思想意蕴。如喜鹊象征吉祥，乌鸦象征厄运；鸽子象征和平，鸳鸯象征爱情等等。象征可以使抽象的概念具体化、形象化，也可使复杂的深刻道理浅显化、单一化等。

在诗词中，松竹梅菊、日月星辰、飞禽走兽等自然万象往往被人们赋与某种情感和象征意义，诗人借助它们表达一定的思想情感。如陆游的《卜算子•咏梅》，王冕的《白梅》（冰雪林中著此身，不同桃李混芳尘。忽然一夜清香发，散作乾坤万里春）都采用托物言志的手法，借梅的形象表达作者的理想追求，表达了诗人不与世俗同流合污的思想感情。

总之，比喻与象征有着很大的差别：前者本体和喻体之间要求“形似”或者“神似”，后者象征意义与本体事物间要求“神似”；前者是以物比另物，比喻的对象是让人看得见、听得见、摸得着的具体对象，后者是以物显义，即不把意思直接说明而让读者去联想、领会，象征意义往往是抽象的，不可捉摸的；前者只限于修饰语句，后者作为文学创作基本手法，它主要立足全文，至少是文章的一层或一个段落。
