英语议论文的结构一般较为固定，通常包括以下三部分：
1.在导语部分提出需要议论的议题；
2.在正文部分对所提出的问题进行议论；
3.在结论部分对以上的讨论进行总结和归纳。
写议论文要考虑论点，考虑用什么作论据来证明，怎样来论证，然后得出结论。它可以是先提出一个总论点，然后分别进行论述，分析各个分论点，最后得出结论；或者先引述一个故事，一段对话，或描写一个场面，再一层一层地从事实中分析出道理，归纳引申出一个新的结论；也可以在文章开头先提出一个人们关心的问题，然后一一作答，逐层深入；还可以把两个不同事物以对立的方式提出来加以比较、对照，然后得出结论。
在具体写作中要注意下列几点：
1.议题的提出要开门见山，不要拖泥带水。
2.议论时可以采用不同的方法。如：可以摆出正反两方面观点，进行对比；也可引经据典论证作者自己观点的正确性，从而使读者接受自己的观点；亦可提出一种错误的观点然后论证其错误，最终提出正确的观点。正文部分是写作的重点，论证方法可用归纳法、推理法、比较法等。
3.在结论部分必须表明作者的观点，对讨论的问题做出总结。
4.注意连接词和过渡词等词语的使用，以增强文章的条理性和逻辑性。常用的过渡词和连接词包括：first, second, third, finally, in addition, furthermore, besides, what was worse, more importantly, in contrast, because, since, now that, therefore，consequently，in that case, as a result/consequence, in conclusion, to sum up等等。

——小议人物描写的层第性展现

【内容提要】初中阶段作文一般以写人记事的记叙类文章为主，从学生作文中的选材来看，写亲人、老师、朋友和同学类的人物描写类的文章通常是占了半壁江山。然而在教学中我们发现，这一类的文章学生
不易写出新意，人物的描写刻画线条粗、平面化，人物形象单薄无力，情感也因之得不到充分的表达。笔者在此文中将自己针对这个问题的一点尝试和做法进行了反思小结，以期与广大同仁互相交流启发，共同进步。

俗话说：“画虎画皮难画骨”，是说识人容易知人难，这个道理同样适用于对人物描写刻画的作文中，写出来容易，但要写得形神兼备却很难。根据对最近几次作文训练的调查统计，我发现在以《幸福的颜色》为题的作文训练中，两个班116人，有71人的作文以写人为主，占了61.2%，在《有你，我的年华不寂寞》为题的作文训练中，写人为主的文章占了约76%，而在最近一次测试中，作文题目为《你，温暖了我的视线》，人物类的文章所占比例高达89.6%，当然题目的指向性是一重要原因，但也可见，学生作文中写父母亲人、老师同学、社会人物等的文章出现的频率很高。然而要把这一类文章写好也并非易事，尤其是考场上这类文章高比例地出现的情况下，要想避免千篇1律、内容主题雷同的现象，写出新意，写出个性，写出真情实感，从而博得阅卷老师的眼球，取得高分，更非易事。
因此，一方面我们需要引导学生拓宽选材面，尽量“发他人之未发，言他人之未言”，另一方面毕竟学生阅历有限，知识水平有限，既然人物类的题材常常会成为其首选，那我们更要教会学生会写并写好这类文章，下面笔者就自己一点粗浅的做法共享一下，不当之处，敬请批评指正。
我们认识别人通常都是由其外表和言行，慢慢地了解他的所思所想，然后通过发生在他身上的一些事以及他的反应，逐渐走入他的内心，了解他的品行。写作文也可以依照这样由表及里的规律来描写和刻画人物，使形象由浅入深，层层展开。阅读这样的文章，尤欣赏一幅卷轴，缓缓展开，扶手轻推，徐徐入目，最终了然全图；又如登楼观景，一楼一景致，一层一境界，终而“独上高楼，望尽天涯路”。
然而学生作文常常将人物平面化，单一化，标签化，读者没看几句所写之人就被“一目了然”、“一览无余”了，这样的文章趣味索然，在考场上是留不住阅卷老师的眼球的。
下面来看一篇以《难忘那一幕》为题的作文训练中，一名学生的习作片段：
家长会开完了，车流如洪水决堤般从停车场的出口涌出，但因为出口狭窄，仅容一辆车通过，所以速度很慢。
爸爸开车载着我，跟在很多车后面，一步一停，堵车使得所有人都心焦气躁，喇叭声此起彼伏，发动机也在不耐烦地低吼着，空气越发地闷热难耐，我的心情不知不觉中也开始焦躁起来。
就在我准备为车子即将爬出拥挤的停车场而兴奋的时候，车流完全停住了，一分钟……两分钟……，隐约间听到有人大声说话继而争吵的声音。
我们走下车，原来是有两辆车抢道发生了轻微的碰撞，眼看争吵越来越激烈了，不少人下车围观，抱怨声、谩骂声、喇叭声骤然间在停车场炸开了。……
父亲忽然走上前去，拍着其中那个情绪比较激动的叔叔说：“大兄弟，别太激动，我们小孩可都是同学啊，大家都都想早点回去……”
……
他把另一方的叔叔也拉过来，劝他们用手机拍好照，先把车挪到一边，大家再好好商量，大家都听到父亲说得很在理，忽然间，神奇的一幕出现了，开始那个情绪激动的人态度出现了180度的大转弯。
“哎，算了算了，就是蹭了一下，也没什么大事，我自己拿回去修吧，不为这点小事耽搁时间了，大家都比较忙。……不好意思了，以后开车大家都小心一些吧。”
另一方也表示了歉意，同意自己处理，忽然周围响起了热烈的掌声，我想，这掌声是给那两个化干戈为玉帛的人，也是给父亲的。
……
两人不好意思地笑了笑，迅速回到车里，把车启动，交通立即就顺畅了，我跑上前给了父亲一个拥抱，说：“爸，你真帅！”
综观整篇文章，选材有一定的新意，基本可取，语言较为形象，但人物描写显得单薄而平面化，形象也没有深度的挖掘，情感没有能很好地融入到文章当中去，叙事缺乏一些技巧。针对这些问题，我向学生提出了几点修改建议：
第一，从刻画中层第形象。要充分而恰当地运用各种人物描写方法，有梯度、层第性地展现人物的性格特点。如在文章开头
加入能表现父亲作为“父亲”这一身份的外貌、语言等的描写；在众人及自己焦急时，可对比刻画出父亲的沉稳成熟；在调解矛盾时，刻画父亲的以理服人，有很强的调节能力以及不闲看热闹，而是主动站出，促进和谐的形象。
第二，从描写中传递情感，写人记事的文章是靠形象来传递信息的，读者是通过文本中的“意象”或“形象”来感知作品内人物
的关系以及作者的情感的。所以我们要学会通过对文中人物的一颦一笑、一举一动的描摹来体现人物的所思所想所感，如拍电影，我只给你画面、情节，人物留给观众自己品味想象，“言有尽而意无穷”。文章最好能加入一些恰当的描写，把父女之间的情感融入其中。
第三，从材料中深挖主题。文章除了表现对父亲的赞扬、爱戴、崇敬之外，最好能通过父亲的言行来反映对社会对人生的一些感悟和思考，可以往社会和谐、父亲的可亲可敬，等方面去思考挖掘再升华。另外，在谋篇布局方面，建议调整记叙顺序，用倒叙和插叙等手法，使文章更具波澜一些，可将矛盾出现一幕放在最前面，有利于吸引读者的眼球，增强戏剧性。
经老师指导，学生修改如下（节选）：
“你怎么开车的？”一个男人指着另一个人愤怒地骂道。
“我怎么开？我还问你呢”……
（以矛盾开篇，设置悬念，激起读者的好奇心理）
……
今天学校召开家长会，家长会结束后，爸爸开车载着我从停车场出去，跟在很多车后面，一步一停，堵车使得所有人都心焦气躁，喇叭声此起彼伏，发动机也在不耐烦地低吼着，空气越发地闷热难耐，我的心情不知不觉中也开始焦躁起来。
“老师表扬了你很勤奋，班级工作也做得很认真，有进步。”父亲左手握住方向盘，右手拍了拍我的头，微笑这说，“是爸爸的好女儿，不错！继续加油！”（加入恰当的描写，以点出“微笑”这一线索，初现人物形象）
我却没心情听表扬，累了一个星期了，只想快些回到家上网、听音乐，好好放松一下。
父亲似乎看出了我的不耐烦，呵呵地笑了笑，说：“你看，车如其人，前面那辆抢道的车，车品不行，人品也好不了多少。后面这些人，这么使劲按喇叭催促前面的车，有什么必要呢？能走还不都走了，好像他的喇叭能把前面的车抬飞起来似的。”
（神态、语言描写使人物形象“更上一层楼”，层第性展现其性格特点）
这话把我逗笑了。
“孩子们都在车上，这也是一种教育啊！”父亲叹道。他转过来，神情依然那么平和。“课代表，你给我解释一下‘欲速则不达’这句话。”
“就是……”
我刚要回答，突然听到有吵架的声音，循声望去，看到前面不远处有两辆车似乎碰到了一起。这就出现了开头的那一幕。
（回应开头的铺垫）
原来是家长会后车流如洪水决堤般从停车场的门口涌出，但因为出口狭窄，有两辆车因抢道而发生了轻微的碰撞。
眼看争吵越来越激烈了，不少人下车围观，抱怨声、谩骂声、喇叭声骤然间在停车场炸开了。
这时忽然一个个头不高的中年男人走上前（先不要点明是父亲，设置一点小小的悬念），拍着其中那个情绪比较激动的叔叔说，……
这一幕，使得所有人都感到十分诧异，尤其是我。
（轻点一下问题，再设悬念铺垫）
几句话两人的情绪都平和了一些，这时中年男人站在对峙的两人中间，拍拍两人的肩膀说：“孩子们都在看着呢，我们小孩都是同学啊，我们可要给他们做个榜样，不必为这点小事大动干戈。”
此话一出，忽然间，神奇的一幕出现了，开始那个情绪激动的叔叔态度出现了180度的大转弯。
“哎，算了算了，就是蹭了一下，也没什么大事，我自己拿回去修吧，……”
……
忽然周围响起了热烈的掌声，我想，这掌声是给那两个化干戈为玉帛的人，更是给这个主动站出来调节矛盾，使得这场争吵大事化小，小事化了的中年男人的。
车流很快又开始涌动起来，这个个头不高的中年男人向我走来，还是那张平和的笑脸，我上前抱住他，说：“爸，你真帅！”
（揭开谜底，增加戏剧性，）
坐上车，爸爸说：“美国有个工厂的工人经常会在流水线上工作时，偷拿一些这样那样的零件，公司想了很多办法效果都不好，后来一位工人提了一个建议，公司采用了他的方法，从此偷盗的现象几乎就再没出现过了。你猜猜是什么方法？”
我猜了几个都被父亲否定了。
“其实很简单，公司要求每位员工拿一张自己儿女的照片，贴在自己的座位前面，被自己的孩子盯着，谁还会做违背良心道德的事呢？所以我们大人很多时候需要从你们身上重新找回纯真啊！”言毕，他又一次平和而、纯真而又得意的笑容。
（用故事深化主题，再次抓住“笑”这一线索，加入“纯真”二字，把人物形象再提升一个层次）
我顿悟，纯真的力量原来是这么巨大！父亲虽到中年却依然未失这份纯真，这难道不就是他冷静、沉稳、善良的源泉吗？我才知道，对于父亲，我最喜爱最崇拜的也正是这一点啊！
领悟纯真内涵的一幕，让我启悟良多，终身难忘！
（点明中心，照应题目，使读者对人物形象亦产生“会当凌绝顶，一览众山小”之感。）
《诗大序》中有言：“情动于中而形于言”，我们很多学生对父母老师同学虽“情动于中”，却不会“形于言”，或“言”得不好，不生动、不深刻。除了语言需要积累之外，方式方法的运用也非常重要，写作既是形象思维的培养，也是形象思维的体现。通过这个例子可以让学生学习一些表现人物的方法和技巧——“春风先发苑中梅，樱杏桃梨次第开”——层第性地进行人物的描写和刻画，能使人物形象更丰富，更具有层次感和立体感。同时把人物之间的情感融入到描写中，这样可以使文章达到“辞约而旨丰，事近而喻远”的效果。当然写作非一朝一夕之功，“文之思也，其神远矣，故寂然凝虑，思接千载；悄焉动容，视通万里。吟咏之间，吐纳珠玉之声；眉睫之前，卷舒风云之色。” （《文心雕龙》）所以写作训练是一项综合性、长期性的工程，观察能力的培养、语言上的积累和雕琢、谋篇布局的方法等等，也是需要长期下功夫的。
