My Most Unforgettable Leon
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! My name is Zhang Qi.It’s a great honor for me to give a speech here today. My topic is My Most Unforgettable Leon.
When it comes to the most unforgettable leon, my first thought is the one given two years ago.In that cla I was teaching Cooley’s “self in the mirror” theory, the main meaning of which is that the person we interact with is the “mirror”.That is to say, we understand ourselves better through other persons’ attitudes and evaluations towards us.In order to better explain the theory, I organized a small game in the cla, in which I made a few questions, such as “Who is your most reliable person?” “Who is the most attractive person?” and “Who is the most thinking person?” and so on, and then let students put their hands on the shoulders of the ideal candidates in their eyes.
At the end of the game, I noticed a girl crying. When I asked her why she was crying, she told me that there had never been a hand on her shoulder, which made her very upset. After she calmed down, I asked what the result inspired her.She said that in future she would care about and help others more to gain their love and trust.Hearing her answer, I was so happy because it is really a pretty cool experience for me a teacher to help my students know themselves well and change for the better.
That’s all! Thank you for listening!
