There is no consensus of opinions among people as to opportunity.Some people think that opportunity is so rare that only the luckiest person can obtain it because very few people have made the greatest achievement in the world, while others hold the opinion that in a sense everyone has numerous opportunities during one’s long life.
As far as I am concerned, I am in favor of the latter to some extent.No one can deny that opportunity exists everywhere, and it is always around us.Everyone has various kinds of opportunities at one time or another during his lifetime.However, the problem is that the opportunities will not wait for us, so what we need to do is try our best to recognize them, find them and seize them at the right moment.
Take English study as an example.If a student spends little time in reading his English books, how can he pa the school test and get a good score? Similarly, if a farmer doesn’t sow his seeds in spring, it is unlikely that he would have a good harvest in autumn.This explains the well-known saying “Sowing nothing, reap nothing”.As long as we get ourselves well prepared, we are bound to get hold of the opportunity when it actually appears.

A great change is now taking place in higher education throughout China.It has become much common in colleges and universities for students to grade their teachers.In some universities students’ rating of their teachers has even become the only way to judge a teacher’s teaching level.This, however, has caused great controversy.
Some students who are in favor of the rating system think that it’s a very good opportunity for them to expre their opinions about the teaching quality.Thus, their study environment can get improved.However, others hold that students may abuse this right, which will interfere with the teaching.They argue that it requires profeional knowledge to evaluate the teaching, so the judgment affair is better left to the profeionals.
I think students’ rating of their teachers is neceary, but it should be conducted as one of the ways to evaluate the teachers’ performance.Besides, many factors, such as the relationship with the students, and the ability to arouse interest in the subject, should be involved to ensure the reasonablene of students rating of their teachers.

I am a second-year student majoring in electronic engineering.Library is my favorite place to go, and I find time spent there is rather rewarding and meaningful.Sadly, our campus librarycannot serve us students to our satisfaction.This is why I take time to write to you.
Actually, we have a lot to complain about the library.Firstly, the basic role of a library is a book and periodicals provider.Thus, we need to update the books, magazines at a faster rate so as to meet students’ demand.Secondly, the facilities are out of date.With an ever-increasing number of students crowding in, we need to have more chairs and desks.In order to create a good study environment, air-conditioning is indispensable, especially during summer times.
Thirdly, we suggest regulation should be implemented to the library, because free chat in the room
