Comment on The story of my life
This summer holiday I have read Helen Keller’s “The story of my life”.I have read this article in Chinese cla when I was in high school.This article impreed me.It told me how lucky we are.We should
appreciate that we are healthy.Healthine is riches.So this time I read this article again.Whenever I read this article, compare with Helen Keller, I think we should treasure our life, God has given us sight so we can see a lot of good things, so we can know how beautiful this world is, so we can know how wonderful we can live in our colorful life.
On June 27th, Helen Keller was born in a small town in America.Her life built an example to people , for she fight against her life all her life.Until she was a year and one half old Helen Keller was just like any other child.But changes are just around the corner.Helen lost seeing and hearing senses when she was only 19 months old due to a child fever.From that time until she was almost 7 years old Helen could communicate only by making signs with her hands.The young child had strong desires - She knew what she wanted to do.No one could stop her from doing it.When Helen was 6, her father let a blind teacher whose name is Anne Sullivan to teach her.Although it is a hard work, but Anne Sullivan want to challenge that.And at last, she won.Mi Sullivan taught Helen many things to read and write and even to use a typewriter.But most important, she taught Helen how to think.All day Mi Sullivan kept touching Helen\'s hand spelling words that gave Helen a language.In time Helen showed she could learn foreign Languages.She learned Latin, Greek, French and German.Helen was able to learn many things not just languages.She was never willing to leave a problem unfinished, even difficult problems in
mathematics.She also give her love to others.She sympathize with the children who are deaf or blind.She wanted to let them feel the power of
love.She’ll let them know, there’s someone who was noticing them.From the history of human beings, there’s many valued things in common.People all over the world can get force from Helen, for the spirit Helen had which can fight against the weak place we have.And it is the riches we have together.
One can die at any moment, no matter how healthy or in what physical shape he is.As for this, Helen came acro many instances.She had asked her friend what she had seen after taking a walk through the woods, and her friend replied, “Nothing in particular.” Her friend gave she this answer, because her friend become accustomed to see the routine of their surroundings, and her eyes only can be attracted by startling and
spectacular things.I think if we only have sight for 3 days we will give another answer.
I appreciate Helen Keller.Her life is a miracle, she strongly face the difficulties which can destroy one’s mind of living.Her life is a tragedy, but the world in her heart is full of love.Her spirit will encourage all of us, forever.
