The sun shone brightly on the ground in front of her feet as she pondered the reality of light. How did light get here? Who made it and why?

She instinctively stepped into the sun spot and instantly felt warmer, brighter, and fuller of life and energy. The sun wrapped her in comfort and stability for, if nothing else, she could always count on the sun waking her up most mornings.

characterized more so by pain and heartache than comfort and love.

She stepped out of the sunlight and felt that all-too-familiar anxious pang in the pit of her stomach as she remembered how horrible it was to live in her childhood home.

Memories flooded her mind as she unsuccefully tried to block them out by thinking good thoughts.

Oh how she wished she could curl up in the middle of the sun and allow its love to encase her for all eternity.

But, no, she was stuck here on earth with those who didn\'t feel the sun\'s rays the same way she did,who didn\'t feel deeply connected to this amazing source of life.

All she could do was stand in the sun on occasion and shut out the rest of the world for a little while. Maybe if she stood here long enough they would cease to exist.

thoughts and the warmth of the sun as she went inside to take the call. Another client, another sales pitch, another moment of feeling disconnected from people.

Tonight would be no difference as she would go home and try to make small talk with her husband over the dinner table, all the while wishing she was communing with the sun instead.

Just as she was feeling really sorry for herself, she was met with a smile from a perfect stranger, paing through the office. The feeling created by the smile reminded her of something very familiar.

She paused, reflecting on the sensation deep inside of her and realized that she just felt the sun shining on her, only this time it was in the form of another human being.

Funny how she had been smiled at a million times before, but this was the first time she felt the actual eence of it.

At that moment she saw that humans have as much of the sun in them as the sun itself;they\'re just not used to letting themselves shine. “Why bother when very few of us embody this? Why does it matter since we\'re all just out for ourselves?”

She now knew that all it took was one smile—one ray of light to change the world, for in that smile shines the entire force that is the giver of all that is.

One smile paed from stranger to stranger will lighten the whole world.

Love is the answer to every question. Why are we here? —Love. Where do we come from? —Love.

How do we create world peace? —Love.

simplistic to the modern human being, since we want to analyze and look for complex answers to questions.

We don\'t believe that life is simple and the answers to its problems can also be simple: love. In truth, what are anger, sadne, pain but the soul\'s desire for love? If we learn to love ourselves without reservation, and to love the world in the same way, the answer is simple. It is impoible, when filled with love, to be aggreive or hate-filled or violent.

When we know that we are beautiful and wonderful, we see the world through those eyes.

We see the beauty and wonder in all things around us.

We don\'t need to look outside ourselves for the love we seek.It has been there all along. It is the voice of our self-esteem.

It is our anger saying, Hey this is not right for me.I don\'t want this in my life any longer. Self-love is saying no to abuse and betrayal.

It is wanting the very best for yourself and accepting only that in your life. It is healing the wounds that you have carried all your life.

Self-love is walking away from those who mistreat you, knowing that you deserve better.

It is taking the risk to pursue the career that will bring you joy.

It is listening to your own inner voice: the one that will always guide you to what is best.

It is trusting in yourself completely.

Self-love is following that little voice within that says, Oh I want to do that today. Sometimes it means ignoring the voice of „shoulds\' and „have-tos\'.

It is believing that, when you seek what you desire and fill yourself with joy, you will also be spreading that joy to those around you. Love will fill you up so you will know there is nothing miing in your life. Love will lead you to every answer.

Three Days to See 假如给我三天光明

All of us have read thrilling stories in which the hero had only a limited and specified time to live.

Sometimes it was as long as a year; 有时长达一年,

sometimes as short as twenty-four hours.

But always we were interested in discovering just how the doomed man chose to spend his last days or his last hours.

I speak, of course, of free men who have a choice, not condemned criminals whose sphere of activities is strictly delimited.

Such stories set us thinking, wondering what we should do under similar circumstances.

What events, what experiences, what aociations should we crowd into those last hours as mortal beings? What happine should we find in reviewing the past, what regrets?

Sometimes I have thought it would be an excellent rule to live each day as if we should die tomorrow.

We should live each day with a gentlene, a vigor, and a keenne of appreciation which are often lost when time stretches before us in the constant panorama of more days and months and years to come.

There are those, of course, who would adopt the Epicurean motto of \"Eat, drink, and be merry,\"

but most people would be chastened by the certainty of impending death. Most of us, however, take life for granted.

We know that one day we must die,but usually we picture that day as far in the future. When we are in buoyant health, death is all but unimaginable. We seldom think of it.

The days stretch out in an endle vista.

So we go about our petty tasks, hardly aware of our listle attitude toward life.

The same lethargy, I am afraid, characterizes the use of all our faculties and senses.

Only the deaf appreciate hearing, only the blind realize the manifold bleings that lie in sight.

Particularly does this observation apply to those who have lost sight and hearing in adult life. But those who have never suffered impairment of sight or hearing seldom make the fullest use of these bleed faculties.

Their eyes and ears take in all sights and sounds hazily, without concentration and with little appreciation.

It is the same old story of not being grateful for what we have until we lose it,of not being conscious of health until we are ill.
