Good afternoon, I am delighted to be here today, and I also feel it a great honor to addre here.Thank you, Mi Hong, and thanks to all of you present here to give me the opportunity.
Today my topic is “learn to be thankful”, and I want to talk about the love given by our parents.Have you ever noticed that your mother’s white hair has increased, and have you ever noticed that your father’s wrinkles have become more deeply when you came home from school to spend your vacation.Why do they have to work so hard even in their old years? The answer is very easy, they want to make as much money as they can, so that they can send you more money, thus, you will live a better life in the university, and you won’t be looked down on by others.And just think for a minute and ask yourself what have you done in the university.Have you studied hard? Did you abuse the money earned toughly by your parents? The answer maybe yes, or the answer maybe no, and some students may say that “we are still student now, we can do nothing” whatever it is, I want to tell you that, as a grade three student, you are not a pure student anymore, and there are many ways for you to show your love to your parents, maybe a phone call or maybe a diploma you got, or maybe a warm greeting.It is time for you to reward your parents now.And from this minute, this moment, try your best to be better in the future and remember that never let your parents down.I know that most of are good students, and we should try harder and be excellent.
