[综述]
合众人寿保险股份有限公司（以下简称合众人寿）是中国十大寿险公司之一，是经中国保险监督管理委员会批准的一家综合性人寿保险公司。企业性质为全国性、股份制寿险公司。作为综合性人寿保险公司，公司可经营一切人身险险种（含各种法定保险）。合众人寿率行业之先提出了“合众保险，理赔不难”的服务举措，为其在行业内外赢得了广泛赞誉。

合众人寿股东由中发实业集团、意大利欧利盛金融集团（Eurizon Financial Group s.p.a.）等国内外知名企业组成。
中发实业集团创建于1993年，是集房地产、金融、医药、物业管理等为一体的大型股份制民营企业。集团现有成员企业13家，其中控股企业5家，参股企业8家，资产总额近百亿元人民币。
欧利盛金融集团（Eurizon Financial Group s.p.a.）是意大利首家综合性金融集团，其经营范围涵盖寿险、资产管理以及金融咨询等领域，不仅拥有意大利最知名的寿险公司和意大利最大的私人银行家销售网络，而且是欧洲最大的资产管理集团。其母公司圣保罗联合银行（原圣保罗银行集团）更是欧洲第三大、意大利第一大的金融财团，资产总额市值超过740亿欧元，在意大利具有无可争议的领先地位。
2006年11月，欧利盛金融集团（Eurizon Financial Group s.p.a.）购入合众人寿19.9％股份，成为合众人寿第二大股东，也是合众人寿历史上的第一家外资股东。
