A letter to the University President about the Canteen service on Campus
Sept 20, 2011 Dear Mr.President
I am a student in our university.I am writing this letter to inform you of the canteen service on our campus.
Generally speaking, we are not content with the canteen service in our university.The reasons are as follows:
First, although quality of the dishes is not bad, yet, most of the dishes remain unchanged all the year round.More and more students are complaining about eating the same food every day.So I think variety of the food is the most urgent problem that should be solved.Second, the environment is not the same as we desire.Many students always talk so loudly that we can’t enjoy our meals.So I suggest that there be some slogans on the wall to remind them to be quiet, and some soft background music to help us relax.
By the way the canteen workers are very patient in providing us with the service.So I think they should be given more incentive to offer us better service in the future.The ideas mentioned above are not just my own but many of my clamates’.We will be very glad if you can take our suggestions into consideration.

范文 2 Dear Mr.President I am a second-year student on the North Campus.I am writing the letter to make you know some problems we are facing about our canteen and meanwhile I’d like to offer some suggestions for your reference.First, food price in our canteen is a bit too high.For example a chicken leg costs 10 yuan in our canteen while it costs only 7 yuan in small restaurants outside.
Secondly, dishes remain the same all the time, lacking variety.Furthermore, the servants are
impatient while serving food.As a result, more and more students prefer to eat outside.To solve the problems mentioned above, we should strengthen management, lowering the price to a reasonable level and enriching food variety to meet different tastes of the students from north and south.Also, the servants should be trained by profeionals before they get on the post.By doing so, I believe those who prefer to eat out would come back to our canteen again. I would be appreciated if you could give my suggestions to due consideration and take measures to solve the problems soon.
