A friend in need is a friend indeed
When asked about my favorite proverb, I always answer: A friend in need is a friend indeed.The proverb means that a true friend will make efforts to help you if you are in need.I once had an experience, which influenced me a lot.
When i was in Grade 6, i got sick and had to be in hospital for weeks.My parents were busy with work then.After making sure that i was fine, they often hurried away.Loneline always crowded in on my mind.I mied my life on campus and hoped that someone could talk to me.
But Jane, a friend of mine, changed it.After school, she often went to the hospital to see me.She first taught me what she had learnt and then shared the stories happening at school.She also told jokes to amuse me.I became very happy during that time.We got much closer than before when i recovered.
It is Jane who makes me know what a true friend is.
Where there is a will, there is a way
As a proverb goes, where there is a will, there is a way.If we make up our minds to do something, nothing is impoible for us.It surely made sense when i was in my third year of junior middle school.
I was worrying about my grades then because i was not good enough for the best senior high.I had spent time playing computer games and hanging out in the first and second school years.But then i considered it a waste of time.I started working hard to catch up with others.Although it was not easy, i believed in myself and tried my best.I firmly believed strong will and great efforts would finally pay off.Finally i succeeded and got top 5 in my cla.
It is determination and strong will that helped me a lot.There is nothing difficult to a willing heart.
