Thanks to the Reforming and Opening, China is becoming more and more prosperous and advanced.People live a better life with the big house, the modern applications and the healthy life style.But we can find that neither the traditional Chinese culture nor the modern Chinese culture is forgotten.Like others, Chinese culture has its specificity.But what should we do under this circumstance?
1, Some important parts of Chinese culture
Chinese philosophy -- is an attempt to understand the universe as a whole, or an examination of man’s moral responsibilities and social obligations.The traditional Chinese people always want to combine the two conflicting aspects, and it is what called “the way of Zhongyong” (中庸之道).The Confucianism, the Mencius’ Thought, and the Daosim (Taosim) are three main braces of Chinese philosophy, influenced by them, Chinese people are always aspire perfect of the world.
Chinese education – is the strategy of Chinese education system.The traditional Chinese people look on as the job of teacher.And they think teachers can be everyone, no matter the age and position.Just like the Confucius said: three persons walking, and I am sure to choose a teacher from them.(三人行则必有我师).
Chinese food – maybe is the most delicious food all over the world.Chinese food not only pays attention to the taste and smell, but also the color and the nutrition.
Chinese taboos and customs -- like the people of western countries, Chinese people also have many customs and taboos.For example, the traditional festivals like the Spring festival and the Mid-autumn festival, are all the special Chinese customs.And people always say some words to pray happine in the special day, and that is taboos of language.
Chinese literature – is a kind of traditional literature which is famous of poetry.Chinese poetry contains the Tangshi(唐诗)， Songci（宋词）and Yuanqu（元曲）.Besides, it also has variety novels and articles.
In addition, Chinese medicine, Chinese legend, Chinese clothes, and Chinese language etc are also the unique culture of Chinese.
2, Negative Phenomenon about the Chinese Culture
But in that time, we can easily found that the traditional senses of the modern people are almost disappeared, especially the young man.
Many traditional festivals are forgotten.For example, more and more people are willing to celebrate the Valentine’s Day instead the Qixi’s Day(七夕).
And Chinese medicine is not pay attention to any more.People would rather to choose the antibiotic but not the healthy herb.
In school, the situation is not optimistic.English seems more important than
Chinese, whether in the primary schools or the universities.
This phenomenon is not rare, so, what should we do for this?
3, Why should we learn the English?
To solve the problem, we should analysis the origin and the development of different cultures.We all know, the races from western countries belong to the Caucasian, like the British, the Dutchman, and the Ruian, while our Chinese belong to the Mongoloid.The origin of two culture are different, and the regions, the religions and the beliefs are all different.Thus, the value and the custom of the two groups of people are not the same.
In the modern time, the Chinese students learn the English as a task, or a subject, and it really go against the intention of the education.We want to learn the other culture’s advantages through the language, but not to learn the language isolate.If we know the other culture, and compared it with our own culture, we can progre.And it is our purpose.
4, The unique and irreplaceable of the Chinese culture.
China has a long history, and we have created a brilliant culture since five thousand years.China is the center of the culture circle of the East Asia, and it is the eential part of the world.So, we should protect our culture, for ourselves, for the diversification of the world cultures.
The other reason, most of the Chinese cultures are practical in modern time indeed.For example, Chinese medicine is account of again these years, for the herbs have le harm for the human body, and the theory of Chinese medicine attempt to look the body as a whole, which can cure the disease totally.Another example, Chinese food have been the most popular food all over, people not only eat themselves full through a meal, but to enjoy the beauty and found the philosophy of our life.
5, How to combine the Chinese culture and the globalization reasonable?
At the background of the globalization, what we should do is to develop our culture, and integrate ourselves into the world.
We should remember that we are the Chinese, and we have the splendent civilization ourselves.We should be pride of our culture, and spread the eence of our culture as best as we can do.The CIUA is a succeful example.The more important, we should also respect others culture, and we can integrate the world, integrate the globalization at the truth sense.
