My topic :Currently, most of the international students like to live with the foreign families.What shall you do if you want to be at peace when you live with them?Honorable judges,laies and gentlemen:
It’s a great pleasure to join the English speaking competition andshare my speech with you.today I’ll share with you something about that.
Currently, most of the international students like to live with the foreign families.so that they can live under the same roof and eat at the same table with the homestay ,which is different fromrenting a house and will certainly help themimprove their spoken English and get to know about the local culture and customs.However ,the different cultural background and living habits maylead to the contradiction between the oversea student and homestay.in order to advoid it ,both of student and homestay should respect and understand each other .As a guest,we should get used to the host’s rules and requirements
After you move into the homestay ,you can enquir about their living habits.there are some points I think we should pay special attention to .
Firstly ,most westerners like the life style of sleeping early and getting up early.So the guest had better not chat over the phone after 9 pm or have a shower,which will make a loud noise and disturb others.
Secondly ,you’d better invite your friends after you getthe consent of homestay parents or you may disturb them
Thirdly ,the oversea student should try to share some housework ,such as cleaning up the table and dishware and remember to keep your room clean and tidy .It is of grate help to make you live harmoniously with the homestay .
As we know ,the original intention of many students is toget the opportunity of communiting with westerner .However ,the best way is to find proper topics to chat .
Besides ,the oversea studentshould do all they can to learn thewestern arts of communication and communicating etiquette and table manners .Therefore,we can live happier with the homestay biased by muturl understanding and respect .Last but not the least ,Ineed to stre that though the homestay parents are not our natural parents ,they have paid efforts to take good care of us during our boarding .Therefore, we should show our respect and gratitude to them.In a word ,having more exchanges and communication will not only help you make progre in your English communication ability but also help you live harmoniously with foreigh family.
