My Best Friend
When talking about words “best friend”, a figure jumps into my mind—Luo Xue —my schoolmate in junior high school and also my best friend.During the three years in junior high school, we shared countle moments of laughter and tears, joy and sorrow.
She is of medium-height and a little thin.Different from other girls, her hair is pretty short.However, she still seems to be very attractive because of her exquisite face and a pair of twinkling eyes.
Though not strong, she is really a girl with amazing stamina.Despite the similarities in our outlook on life and living, it is always she, the physically weaker one, who encouraged and urged me to finish some tasks when I attempted to give up.When we were preparing for the senior high school entrance examination, she cheered me up emotionally and would give me a hand whenever I was in trouble.But for everything she did for me, I couldn’t have had this opportunity to render back after her moving to another city.
We had many common interests such as reading, cartoon and literature which we often talked about.In addition, we had much common experience that we undergone together.We studied, sang, played badminton, and climbed up mountains together.I felt very comfortable when I stayed with her.Luo Xue acted sincerely.She seldom made vows to her friend if she can’t complete it.Once she made it, she would spare no efforts to keep her promise.What’s more, she is an environment protector who got this idea from her parents and always told me to avoid wasting.When I went to supermarket a few days ago, I found a lovely package of cookies.It suddenly occurred to me what Luo Xue had told me once that it was over-packing and a kind of wasting! Though I loved it very much, I refused to buy it and tried to persuade my other friends not to buy it either.Because I have learned from Luo Xue that everybody should do his part to protect environment.I’d rather buy something with much simple packing and will do my own parts for our environment.I believe that friends are those who accept each other, confide in each other and feel responsible for each other.Luo Xue and I are obviously the best friends.Having her accompanying with me, my school life was always wonderful and fulfilling.And as a proverb goes: Of our mixed life, two quests are given control: food for the body, friendship for the soul.I was so lucky to meet and make friends with her.
