The typical snack food of my hometown I an from WeiFang of ShanDong province.There is a very famous typical snack food in my hometown, called “cheng huang miao rou huo shao ”, which has a history of over 100 years.
This food is a kind of pie ,mixed with meat, scallion, ginger,garlic and ingredients in it .It’s roasted in a big stove, and the cook must use a scroop with a long shaft to turn the pie constantly, in order that the pie can be heated evenly.After about one hour, the pie is finally finished.To tell you the truth, when the pies are cooking, the smell spreads out of the shop, and the paers--by must be attracted.Our local people buy this kind of pie every day in the morning.The lie is tender and tastes sweet outside and salty inside, delicious and crisp.After you eat it , the smell will last in your mouth all morning.If you eat it in claroom, then the whole claroom turns to be the heaven of the pie.So usually, we dare not eat it in the claroom, for fear of being discovered by our teacher.
Now, many of my friends, including me ,are far away from home for study, but we often mi“cheng huang miao rou huo shao ”.The sweet memory of eating it often occurs to me , with mouth watering.However, no other pies can replace our own pie !
