The invesgation of Obama

Barack Obama is the first African American President,so we are curious about him.Why Americans vote him to be the American President. We also want to know about his famliy and his experiences of growth. What education he had before he severs as a president. In addition,we like his impaioned inaugural speech .It is so beautiful. One month ago he came to China ,what he talked to us is also inspiring. After that , Obama will put forward something else to change the state ofthe economic crisis.Let’s wait and see.

First we introduce Obama’s family.

S.Ann Soetoro, his mother, was a teen mother who later got a Ph.D.in anthropology. She is a white woman from the Midwest who was more comfortable in Indonesia. She is a natural-born mother obseed with her work. She made great influence on Obama. His father, who was also graduated from Harvard, died when he was 2 years old .Obama met his wife, Michelle, in 1989 at a Chicago law firm. They soon fell into love and married in 1992.Their first daughter, Malia, was born in 1998 and their second, Sasha, was born in 2001.As a father, he loves them very much.

Second we talked about Obama’s childhood.

Barack Obama was born in Hawaii in 1961, two years after it became a U.S.state.His mother was a U.S.citizen andhis father is a native of Kenya. After his parents\' divorcing, Barack\'s mother married an Indonesian native and took her son to live in that country until he was ten.Obama then returned to Hawaii, coming of age under the guidance of his maternal grandparents.

Third we would like to show you Obama’s brilliant learn experiences.Obama entered Occidential College in Los Angeles, CA and spent two years there before transferring to Columbia University in New York City.He graduated from Columbia with a B.A.in Political Science in 1983.After five years working as a community organizer and social worker in New York City and Chicago, he entered Harvard Law School in 1988.He became the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review in 1990 and earned his law degree in 1991.

Fourth, let’s learn something about his work experiences after graduating from Harvard,he entered politics.

Obama moved back to Chicago and began his political career.Using connections from his community organizing days, he organized a group of supporters to help him mount a run for the lllinois legislature. He won his first election in 1996 and served for eight years in the lllinois state house as a senator. In 2000, he ran in the Democratic primary for an Illinois seat in the U.S.House of Representatives and lost.In 2004, Obama was selected to deliver the keynote addre at the Democratic National Convention. At that time, there was an Illinois U.S.Senate seat that was in contention and Obama, whose political star was rising in the state, was given a national platform at the convention. His speech at the

convention made him a national political figure overnight and he handily won the U.S .Senate seat.Speculation soon started that he might run for president in 2008.He formally announced his candidacy on February 10th, 2007.Obama won the Iowa caucus in January 2008, defeating front-runners Hillary Clinton and John Edwards. He ended up winning a majority of the Democratic primaries and was recommended as President at the national convention in Denver in August 2008.He chose his campaign rival and senated colleague Joe Biden as his vice-presidential running mate.On November 4th, 2008, they defeated the Republican ticket of John McCain and Sarah Palin in the U.S.presidential election. On January 20th, 2009, Barack Obama was sworn in as the 44th president of the United States, becoming the first African-American to hold that office. Then,he made great effort for the international commination and the cooperation between people. So,he was awarded for the “ Nobel Peace Price” On October 9th ,2009.At the same time,he established a good relationship between American and China.Obamavisit China from November 15th to 18th.And became the first American president who pay a visit to China within his first year as a president.

We are curious about how Obama can succeed in running for the president.

Let’s have a look at his inaugural speech. We can learn something from it.“These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics.Le measurable but no le profound is a sapping of confidence acro our landthey will be met.On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.“We should be confident. It’s important to have courage to face the

challenges,then solve them.

“This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no le productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no le inventive, our goods and services no le needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisionsnot only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology’s wonders to raise health care’s quality and lower its cost.We will harne the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age.All this we can do.And all this we will do.”

As a president, Obama makes a lot of contributions to his country. He promised to end

the Iraq War and aso he did.He is making every effort to maintain the peace of world.

He pays a lot attention to education. He said:“I do not accept a United States of America that is second place. That means that all of us have to work together to make sure that we are taking seriously the investments we make in our children’s future.”

States and local government provide most of the funding for the nation’s schools.Mr.Obama offered help.He said :“I want to change existing law so the federal government can give states aid for poor students. But the money would come with strings attached.”

“We will ask all states to put in place a plan to adopt and certify standards that are college and career-ready in reading and math,”he said. The president said he wants a dialogue with states on education reform. He said he also wants to hear ideals from the governors on improving the nation’s improving the nation’s health-care systm to improve acce and affordability.

Obama tries his best to improve American’s living conditions. He’s an American and a leader.Though Amrica has many conflicts with others contries,we can’t dney that Obama plays an important role in the world.
