Reconciliation May Take 10 Years

王屏认为，「既然两国外长就改善中日关系、努力推进战略互惠关系达成了一致，那中方当然希望日方，尤其是前原诚司外相能够言行一致，用实际行动证明这次双边会谈的共识和成果。

中国人民大学国际关系学院教授时殷弘表示，今次事实再次证明，前原诚司是中日关系改善的最大障碍，「中方对付的办法就应该坚决不与之对话」。

外交实践来看，如果两国外长不进行对话，则元首和首脑对话的可能性也大为降低，因为高层会见的很多安排需要外交部门提前安排。时殷弘坚持认为，如果菅直人内阁还想继续发展中日关系，就应该对前原诚司的职务安排有所行动。 From the viewpoint of diplomatic practice, if there are no dialogues between the foreign ministers of the two countries, the odds for dialogues between the heads of state and of government will be considerably lower, given that high-level meetings need to be arranged by diplomatic departments in advance.Shi Yinhong insisted that, if the Naoto Kan cabinet still wants to develop Sino-Japanese relations, it will have to first do something about Maehara\'s job post.
