Comments on The Road Not Taken
The Road Not Taken is written by Robert Frost, who could probably be the most important poet in American literature history. In this poem, the writer described beautiful natural scenary in vivid and colorful words. The writer portraits himself as a traveller who is walking in the woods. He has to and could only choose one road to continue his trip. After a long time consideration, he choosed the one le traveled by.
Everyone is a traveler, choosing the roads to follow as if we must make many choices in the journey of life. What we choose may determine our life afterwards. This poem clearly demonstrates Frost\'s belief that it is the road that one chooses that makes him the man who he is.There is a strong sense of regret before the choice is even made and it lies in the knowledge that in one lifetime, it is impoible to travel down every path. The road that will be chosen leads to the unknown, as does any choice in life. This is his common sense speaking and acknowledging that what he chooses now will affect every other choice he makes afterward.Once we have performed an act or spoken a word that crystallizes who we are, there is no turning back and it cannot be undone. To the writer, what was most important, what really made the difference, is that he did what he wanted, even if it meant taking the road le traveled. If he hadn\'t, he wouldn\'t be the same man he is now.It goes the same way for us.We need to make many choices everyday, crucial or triffle, and we must be responsible for every choice that we have made, because there is no turning back.Regret is usele, we should hold a poitive attitude toward life, Only in this way could we live a substantial life.
