Step 1 Review 1.Ask and answer to review the sentence patterns about invitation and response.For example:

1 2.Using some pictures, ask and answer between the teacher and students to review the words and the sentence patterns about animals, and then lead to the new words.T: What’s this? Ss: It’s a tiger./ a monkey./ an elephant./ a panda./ a rabbit….T: What are they? Ss: They are all animals.
3.Listen to 2 and number the pictures in the order you hear according to the descriptions in the tape.Finish 2.
Step 2 Presentation 1.Listen to 1a and answer the following questions.1).Where do they want to go? – They want to go to the zoo.2).What can they see in the zoo? – They can see pandas, monkeys,
lions, tigers and elephants.2.Let students listen to 1a again, imitate the pronunciation and intonation and read after the tape.The teacher writes down the sentence pattern ―Let’s meet at 9 o’clock in my home.‖ and teaches them.
Step 3 Consolidation 1.Get the students to read the paage again, and then fill the blank in the screen.
2 2.Do a puzzle.Show the students a puzzle, and let them gue what it is.

Step 4 Practice 1.Play a numeral game to review the numbers from 1 to 59.
Divide the students into ten groups.And ask the groups to say the numbers one group by one group.Clap their hands when it comes to 3 or multiples of 3.2.Let the students read 3a after the audio.Then ask them to read in the groups and summarize the expreions of time.Then the teacher helps them to divide the expreions into five kinds and writes them down on the blackboard.For example‖ T: Excuse me, what time is it? / Excuse me, what’s the time? Ss: It’s five past one./ one o five.
It’s a quarter past one./ one fifteen.
It’s half past one./ one thirty.
It’s a quarter to two./ one forty-five.
3.Show some pictures of time and ask them practice and consolidate the expreions of the time.
