Today my topic is about the part of warming –up and reading of unit 5 Book 2 .In order to attract the students’ attention and make them master the content better, I will use the ppt, tape-recorder etc to help me organize my teaching procedures.
Now I will introduce the teaching aims ,difficult points and teaching steps of my leon.Teaching aims: 1.Get the students to know something about the music (music styles, singers , some bands etc.) 2.Train the students’ reading ability 3.master some useful words and expreions 4.listen and enjoy some pieces of music Important and difficult points 1.improve the students’ reading ability 2.improve their appreciation of the music 3.some difficult and important words and expreions Teaching steps: step1:lead-in

For this part , I use some pictures to attract their attention so that they can move into today’s topic.step2.discuion
let the students talk about some famous singers in and out of China.

then introduce some music style step3. play the tape
let the students listen to the music and decide which music matchs which music style so that they can be more familiar with the music style.
For this part ,I will let them enjoy some music by playing the tape-recorder.The students will like it very much.Step 4.discuion

introduce the Monkees --the topic of the reading part of this unit Step 5 listen and fast reading
Task1, answer two questions
Task2, find the main idea of each paragraph
Task3, decide whether the sentences are true or false
Task4, join the parts of the sentences together ( the exercise in the part of comprehending) Step 6 read again and consolidation Task 1 fill in a form, summarize the context of the paage For these two steps, I use the ppt so that the students can be sure of the tasks, the content of the paage, the answers.Step 7 deal with some difficult words and expreions
