Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen is published in 1813 and is very popular novels in the word.The novel is exciting and interesting.The story is about a Bennett family and five daughters.Mrs.Bennett’s mad quest for finding good and wealthy suitors for her daughters, Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty, and Lydia.Darcy and Elizabeth share bad impreion with each other and dislike each other in their first meeting.But with time goes on, they both realize their mistake in judging each other and then they married each other.The story has a happy ending with Darcy to Elisabeth.
The story shows other themes like family, virtue, marriage, women, cla, and society.In that time people all thoughts of getting married to rich and high status men to lead a wonderful life.The parents only concern how to make daughters married to wealthy men, no matter how their abilities good or not.We can find that women had no rights in society except getting married and take care of kids.That is terrible.
Virtue is important thing that the author tries to saying by showing how Darcy and Elizabeth overcome their pride and prejudice to change and improve themselves for the better.Virtue make they find their love and have beautiful life in the end.
There are many reviewers who say that the language is what makes this book unbearable, boring, etc.In my opinion, not only is it a wonderful love story, it is including humorous, witty, vibrant, and full satire about life, but also has an effect to society today.Although a few people hated Pride and Prejudice, I think it can tell us a lot of knowledge about love and living.If you read it by your heart, I believe you will like it.
