第六节 联络与催询书信范例

当申请人按照学校规定提供各种材料以后，并不能就此静坐等待结果。在绝 大多数情况下，还得与对方学校保持联络。所寄去的材料也未必完全符合对方的要 求，如有这种情况，对方会来信要求更正、补充或处理。可能发生的问题很多，其 中常见的包括：

1.不接受成绩单复印件；

2.TOEFL、GRE或其他考试成绩未收到—— 多数学校对这些成绩只承认ETS寄 去的正本，而不接受申请人提供的成绩单。但ETS处理需时最少六星期，这种延迟 常被对方认为未收到；

3.TOEFL成绩低于标准，要求重考—— TOEFL成绩最低标准470分到550不等；

4.拟修专业填写不详—— 许多申请人在填表时，未把拟修专业(Proposed major)填明，对方来信要求补充； 5.缺少自传、读书计划等材料； 6.尚未收到推荐信； 7.要求提供学位证明；

8.要求更改专业—— 拟修专业的课程已取消或每年只在秋季开课。 9.提出的财力证明数额不足或未经银行证明。

以上所说的问题常常发生，其原因或是由于申请人不熟悉申请程序，或是由于 邮递的延误。但不论原因如何，申请人接信后应该尽快查明予以更正，并将处理情 况函复对方。缺少的材料如已寄出很久，仍未到达，则很可能投递错误而遗失。申 请人应该再寄一次。

另有一些学校，由于行政人员不足，不会主动与申请人联络，你不寄齐材料他 就不审查你的申请，这是常事，故申请人在时隔

一、二个月后未得到对方任何信息 ，便应该去信催询，请对方告知申请是否已完成，或是否已收到所需的一切材料。

不过主动联络必须适度。催询过频会使对方厌烦，申请人必须考虑对方处理所 需的时间，不能期望每一询问函件都立即得到反应，一般而言，当材料寄出后，可 去函告知，并询问材料是否收齐或是否还需补寄任何材料。

如果入学申请已被批准，通常对方会先以正式函件通知，然后再发Ⅰ－20表， 也有些学校要申请者填写一张回执，说明是否接受，还有些学校要求先缴一笔定金 (deposit) ，然后才发Ⅰ－20表，这种定金通常在注册时可抵充学费。如果不止一 个学校发来录取通知，那么，在慎重选择后应及早通知不去的学校，并退还Ⅰ－ 20表。

三、活动开展

根据系学生工作流程，开展各项文体活动，丰富业余文化生活。

1、烈士陵园扫墓活动

为了弘扬革命传统，缅怀烈士英雄事迹，进行爱国主义教育,我系组织班级主要负责人、学生会干部、党员和积极分子以及辅导员老师到烈士陵园扫墓。

2、假期社会实践

院、系二级领导：

两年前，由于教育心理教研室成员大多从政、或读研深造、或请产假，唯我一人独守一角。为了学院的评估大事，我不得不被动地接受教心教研室主任一职，勉为其难地支撑着。现在成员逐步回复到位，我应该明智地辞去这一职务，理由如下：

一、从职称高低和是否双师型来说，我不够格。教研室主任应该具备副高级以上职称，是本专业的学术带头人或教研骨干。教心室教授皆大腕，区区我讲师望尘莫及。我深知教心室应该协助学院开展大学生心理咨询工作。而我主要以教育学为研究方向，还没得机会接受心理咨询师培训，很难帮上忙。

二、从专业教学经历来看，我是新兵。虽然我在中学工作十余年，但是从事教育学、心理学教学工作，我仅5年，急需向教授们讨教，岂敢当领头羊。

三、从人脉和个性特征来看，我不能胜任。初到异乡，自然人脉不旺，再加上我性格内向，喜欢独来独往，追求自由，率性求真，不愿意开展组织活动，更怕参与“轰轰烈烈”的活动。要知道教研室主任必须具有较强的组织、管理与协调能力。我天马行空的性格是不能胜任“领导”工作的。

四、不能捍卫本室成员权益，内疚于心当辞职。为了学院的发展，有些话我还是要说。根据网络中心张主任说，两年前，学院为各系部教务干事、学生干事、各教研室配备一台电脑，用于教学工作，可是唯独没有教育心理教研室的份。一等就是两年多啊！我虽有信仰，有耐心，能忍让，能体谅，所以学院评估期间，我自带笔记本电脑到办公室，独自一人准备教心室的材料，但我愧对本室成员，我不能捍卫他们应有的权益。这次重新分配办公室，我们感觉是学院的弃儿，说得严重些，人格受到侮辱。在不通知的情况下，我们的办公桌从小教学楼102#被搬到103#，后来被遗弃在走廊角落处。说实在的，我的抽屉里还有教材、教案和学生的重要票据。另外，教研室成员共同探讨后签订教材的权利也被剥夺一些，等等。虽然我们感觉是后娘养的，但是我们还要提醒领导：可以不重视教育心理教研室，但绝不可轻视大学生心理咨询工作。

两年来，我深深感悟：不当“领导”去烦杂，静下心来好专攻。我不能做一个合格的教研室主任，但我自信不久将来能够成为一名优秀的教师，这才是我真正的企求。退一步说，至少我可以追求自由、追求人格的平等。
