肤浅的文字写不出平凡的伟大，朴实的语言表达不出内心的感动。我今天歌颂的只是他们中最平凡的一员，曾获过“市五一劳动奖章”的查表队队长魏玉明。青春在奉献中闪光，是他思想的升华，他始终坚持用户至上的原则，急用户所急，想用户所想，群众的需要就是无声的命令。他抓安全、保质量、抢进度，以高度的责任感顽强拼搏，把“抓作风、强执行、促发展”的意义融入到实际行动中。曾多少次，在香甜的梦乡中，被急促的电话铃声叫醒；曾多少次，在合家团圆的佳节里，被突如其来的供水事故带走。一个个不眠的夜晚、一次次紧急的供水事故，就这样没有昼夜、没有季节、没有节假日，只要一个电话，那怕是在寒冬腊月的深更半夜，也必须在15分钟内赶赴现场，并且做到“小修不停水、大修不过夜”，记不清多少次，伴随他回家的只有天空中寂寥的晨星，谁又知是哪一颗为他照亮了归途。他就是这样一个人，工作中总是冲在前、抢在前、干在前。记的有一次，管道爆管，接到电话，他五分钟便赶到了现场，水流很大，阀门池子里已灌满了寒冷的冰水，阀门手柄根本没法用，他二话没说，冒着刺骨的严寒，跳进了水深1米5的池子里关上了阀门，出来后衣服全湿透了，很快就结了一层寒冰，他没顾上回家换一下衣服就开始抢修。居民们都说，先回家换一下衣服吧，要不会冻病的，再说天黑了明天再修吧。他却说，没事，你们这儿没水我回去也睡不着觉。依然挑灯夜战，直到凌晨5点多钟，一汩汩清泉流进了居民楼 ，他才安心的离开。回家后，因长时间的寒冷劳累得了重感冒，可他没有请一天假，没有耽误一天的工作。就这样他用水滴石穿的精神诠释了作风建设的意义，诠释了一个共产党员对供水事业的执着。
也许心随情至，也许情随水动，我们带者骄傲的梦想点燃了我们的激情。回顾过去，曾经的辉煌让我们心潮澎湃，那是自来水职工心与火的耕耘。“抓作风、强执行、促发展”让我们的奋斗目标更加明确；党的先进性教育，让我们感到前面的路更宽了，机遇和挑战并存，肩上的胆子也更加沉重。只有坚持作风建设，才能带领我们走向成功，为我们供水事业增砖添瓦，让我们青春的誓言在平台中得已实现，实现新突破，新的跨越，让供水精神发出新的光芒，让水中绽放文明花。
