2.To finish Text B as a drill leon in the 3rd cla.

Part I: ( 1st cla)

Lead-in(10 mins)

1.Introducing the following phonetic symbols to the students /əʊ /, /aʊ/, /p/,/b/

2.Write the following words and sentences on the black board and ask students read them after teacher./əʊ / boatgoatbowlsparrowpotatotomato

6) Can you tell a story that shows how succe results from working hard and failing many times

8) Can you tell a story that shows the magic of love?

9) Would you tell one of your personal experiences about how you were once moved by love?

Activity 2: (20 mins)

Go through the Text A.Explanations should cover up all the key language points.

Leave students the exercises from page43 to page46 as homework.And ask them to preview Text B.

Step 1.Introducing the rules on page47.

Step 2.Ask students to finish the exercises that follow.

Step 3.Check the answers.

Activity 2: (30 mins):

Practical writing: writing notes (1)

Step 1.Ask students to read the samples.

Step 2.Explain the samples.

Step 3.Ask students to translate the samples into Chinese.

Step 4.Ask some students to present their translation.

Step 5.Ask students to finish Exercise B on page54.

Step 6.Leave Exercise C as homework.
