Internship Report
It is almost coming to the end of my internship and it is time for me to summarize this period.This was a job I was interviewed.I found the job on the Internet:Before I was accepted by this company, I have suffered several hard interviews.
It is in Tensuel Company Limited that I had my internship.Tensuel is a French company established in Donguan.It is an OEKA-TEX certified company specialized in foam molding, fabric molding and lamination services for the leading brands in Europe, the America and Australia.There are ten departments of it among which I was in CSD-Customer Service Department being as a merchandiser.My job was to receive guests in the office and to follow the ordered samples and bulks, and sometimes I also answered the phone and helped visitors understand our products.Our customers are from different countries like Philippines, Sri Lanka, and France and so on.
Because CSD is a service department, I can learn how to communicate with different people and learn some busine skills about foreign trade.I must pay attention to others\' every action and every movement.
Through this experience, I received some knowledge summarized as follows:
First, we should lean to how to distinguish other’s words.When I came to Tensuel, the one who guided me told me a lot of the bad things of this company.And I wonder why she did that, by asking me: Isn’t it this company going to retain people? Why the regular staff will tell the new ones about the bad things? Of course, I did what I should do in the company and headed down talking little usele things.To me, I think she wanted to scare new ones to reduce the competition.Meanwhile, she did not have the Win-win attitude.She only wanted herself to steadily stand in Tensuel.However, she has her strength and she makes everything about the bulk in order.Therefore, what I put in heart is the technique she taught me to do in job and ignored what she complained about the company.In the same time, the bo knows me I paed the CET-6 and thought my spoken English is good giving me a lot of chances to be open to the customers.He also told me more about the job planning.But I would do as the way I treated the girl---head down and did whatever I should do in the company.I dare not to expect too much as I do not have any experience but a fluent spoken English.
Second, I got training in the knowledge about the whole operation of the company and a train from Jun Li, our commercial director about the emotional stability.A good performance for a good company is that it will provide the training for new staff.I really learned a lot in the training and knew a lot about the products.The emotional stability training is most beneficially.Jun told me how to control the emotion.To be frank, I am an emotional girls and I easily lo control.In busine, we should control our emotion and do not let the competitor to control us by using our weakne.During the working period here, I suffered several time not letting myself cry in public.I told myself not to lose face in public.I succeeded finally.
Third, the distance between customers should be handled properly.I have met many customers from different countries.The habit, the belief and the communicating ways are all different from Chinese.Before meeting them, I have to search a lot of those things to prepare for the meeting.This not only helps me learn more about the custom, but also trains me the ability to deal with the things I do not know.
Fourth, I realized the difference between university and society.At university, we can do things freer than in the society.When I am sick, I can just ask for leave from teachers about it, but in society, we cannot do it, I have to ask a lot of people for permiion of it.And after it, I have to compensate the time for the jobs; meanwhile, the consideration between people is not the same as the university does.I listed this example to tell that I was not adapted to the environment of society.Everyone in the society forces me to grow up, and grow up fast.It must be fast.And no one concerns how you struggle for the job but the outcome.They are not going to tolerate your wrong for more than three times.Maybe my psychology should be fixed to adjust to the society.However, I need time.I really need time.I tried to make everything right but in vain.I think true friendship cannot really happen in the society.Though has, it will be little.And after entering the society, friends get together le and le, and some even lost contacts.Sometimes, I would think “Is the society always changing us? What do we work for? ” The answer is we work for happine, but we are not happy doing jobs.Recently, a report telling Beijing and Shanghai‘s office guys are under the most stre in China and swiped their credit card to buy things uncontrolled.I do not want to be them.Therefore, I should figure out how I can be confronted with this realistic society.
Fifth, I also learned my shortcomings.Let me conclude myself for this---impatient, emotional & walking too close with others.After half month, I realized I am too naïve to be an office lady.
My e-mails were unprofeional, neither was my spoken English.Therefore, I tried hard to fix the e-mail problems by writing carefully, watched more English Films to practice listening and speaking.Till now, they are improved a little.I appreciated my efforts.I will continue.
I know I am a little avoiding the reality of the society.I do not want to face how complicated the relationships in the society.But I know I need to change to achieve succe.But the principle of the “survival of the fittest” always reminds me to be stronger to handle all the things by myself.
Year 2013, it is a new year.I will be back to university to finish my degree and to be a good student.Half years, I will go to more places to expand my horizon and pa the TEM-8, lastly, succefully graduate.The bo of Tensuel said he would retain the position for me when I go back.But, who knows what will happen in the future? Therefore, I will head down and do what I need to do.
