Mr.President，students and faculty,Dear friends,
It gives me great pleasure to attend the opening ceremony of****, meeting new students from all over the world.This is perhaps the third time you attend an opening ceremony within the past one week,and second time seeing me standing at a stage and delivering a speech, but I still hope you guys will not get bored of me.Willyou?
I have to say that globalization has always been our major strategy in building OUR UNIVERSITY into a world-renowned high-level research university.We are fully aware of the importance of partnerships with prestigious universities abroad, and the support from the government and socially-responsible enterprises, and that is how Our school came into being last year with the substantial joint efforts from **** busine school, Minhang District Government and Zhizu Hi-tech Company.I am confident that SCHOOL will definitely be a brand-new succeful model for sino-foreign educational collaboration.I`d like to take this opportunity to expre my sincere thanks to representatives from the above institutes for their considerable support, without which, SCHOOL will not be poible.Let`s give them a big round of applause.
I`d also like to talk a little bit about the positioning of SCHOOL.From my perspective, SCHOOL will be a nationally renowned or even one of the top busine schools in Asia with a full range of programs on the bachelor, master,Ph.D levels and EDP program.It is quite promising when we look at the tremendous achievements we have fulfilled since the agreement was signed in last June: the stylish SCHOOL building, as showed in the video clip,is about to complete soon ,serving as a fantastic place for you to live and study; the All-English syllabus jointly developed by both sides combines the strengths of Chinese and French programs.You may find it tough and challenging at the very beginning, but believe me,it will pay off if you persevere and survive it; the SCHOOLfaculty members , consisting of quality profeors from both OUR UNIVERSITY and emlyon would bring you fresh ideas and new ways of thinking.
I want to thank you all for choosing SCHOOL from all other choices you could choose from.That actually impose preure on us ,that is not to fall short of your expectation.But we are deeply convinced that your choose will prove to be one of the greatest decisions you have ever made in your life.
As president,I would also like to encourage you totake full advantage of the state-of -the-art facilities SCHOOL provides, aim high, work hard and realize the full promise of your life.
