Self-introduction
Dear profeor, I am glad to meet all of you here.Firstly, please allow me to give a brief self-introduction: my name is Pan Xiaolong, 23 years old , I come from Yancheng, which is a beautiful city of Jiangsu Province.My undergraduate period will be accomplished in Yancheng Teacher\'s University in July, 2011, majoring in biotechnology.During the past 4 years in my college as an undergraduate student, I have been working diligently at my major.I have built up a solid foundation for profeional knowledge and comprehensively improved my quality.Besides I have accomplished all the required courses and got the good grades.Seriously study hard, now all my work has got a result since I have a chance to be interview by you.
I’m optimistic and broad-minded.In the same time, I also have a quick thinking and the spirit of teamwork.In my spare time, I have broad interests like many other young people.I like playing basketball, which needs not only the personal effort, but also the teamwork.Besides, sports can make me full of energy, think more clearly.In addition, I often read some books, relevant or irrelevant to my major, which makes me know more.I always believe that one will easily lag behind unle he keeps on learning.So I deeply hope I will have the opportunity to go on study in the elite school.
Reasons for taking postgraduate exams
Now I’ll talk about the reasons for taking postgraduate exam.Firstly, during last March, when I prepared to apply for this school, I came here and visited the elder brothers and sisters of the Department of Biological Sciences.I have been deeply impreed by the academic atmosphere here, so my resolve was strengthened.Secondly, I love my major, which is the most important reason.When I got in touch with biology, I was fond of it.As a result, I chose biology as my major during my university.After four-year study, I still want to go down this road, so I took postgraduate exam to fulfill my dream.Thirdly, I think further study is still urgent for me to realize self-value.Life is precious.It is neceary to seize any chance for self-development, especially in this competitive modern world.In a word, I am looking forward to having a chance to study here.
About my future plans
The major that I hope pursue for my further education is also biology.Because I find biology are playing a more and more important role in our modern society.And nowadays in China, with the recognition of the government, our domestic research of biology and biology industrial are growing rapidly and that may provide a lot of chances for us.I plan to concentrate on study and research in this field in my graduate time, and I hope I can be your a graduate student and make a solid foundation for future profeion after three years study here.If I could have the honor to study here, I promise that I would never fail your expectation.I will spar all effect to learn the knowledge and go up to a higher level of doing research.
