In recent years, there is a noticable phenomenon that increasingly more families have been considering sending their children abroad for further study, but the views about it vary from person to person. As far as I am concerned, if the condition allows, especially psychologically and financially, it’s an alternative worth considering for the high school students and their parents as well.
There’re several reasons that support my opinion.First of all, it is widely acknowledged that there’re many top universities abroad, where students can enjoy better facilities, better teaching staff, latest acadamic information and meet other top students around the world. Moreover, staying in another country for years can greatly boarden their horizons.Exposed to the local culture, students can learn different traditions and mindset, thus gaining benefit from the strengths oflocal culture.Last but not least, it’s a great chance for the high school students, most of whom are only child in their respective families, to learn to be independent of their parents, teachers and friends. The entirely unfamiliar environment obliges them to learn to live and communicate with others by theirselves. At first it can be a tough time but soon later the students can become independent in all aspects.
It may be a great financial and acadamic burden for the high school students to study abroad, but there is no denying that it surely is rewarding to one’s entire life.
