After reading “To Kill a Mocking Bird”
When reading the whole book, putting down the book and sorting out my thoughts, my heart is filled with anger and gratifying.Though words are limited, they contain much more than that.In 1930s, the Great Depreion of the southern United States, two children and their father are living in a white and black mix town quietly.The two children, little sister called Scout, older brother called Jem.Their father Atticus, is a lawyer, also the town legislators, upright and selfle.Children’s mother died when Scout was two.It happened between the three years of Scout\'s 6 to 9 years,and his brother is four years older than her.The Scout family lived alongside what they call a \"weirdo \" neighbor, which is never out of his house.It is said that he has once stabbed his father, everyone says he is a psycho, so his family don’t allow him to go out.But Atticus never tell them to do so, only let them not to disturb the Arther Boo Radly, who is what they call \"weirdo\".So the children use the rumor to make up various stories, speculate on the hidden mystery and design a plan to lead him out.In the two summer holidays that followed, three children find that they often keep small gifts for trees outside Radly\'s home.Sometimes, the mysterious Boo shows them to children, but unfortunately, Boo never appear in person.Black Tom helps a white woman Mayella a lot.There is a Mayella seduction of Tom, just seen by Mayella\'s father, Ewell.Then her father Ewell beat up his daughter, because Ewell hates black people, but also because his daughter’s behavior makes him feel ashamed in that society.He is afraid to let people know his daughter\'s behavior is despised by people, so they intend to falsely accuse black rapes.Lawyer Atticus resists the preure from outside to defend Tom, and the truth gradually emerged from the analysis of Atticus.However, Tom is finally sentenced to death because of white people’s contempt, discrimination and instinctive distrust of blacks.Tom loses confidence in Atticus\'s appeal, determines to escape, and is killed by white guards in the proce of prison break, and every sight of justice and freedom at the end of the death.
Ewell, who thinks he has lost face, still resentment after winning a lawsuit by people\'s prejudices, trying to revenge on lawyer Atticus, and even trying to kill Atticus children after drunkenne.The children bravely fight and with the help of Arther, Ewell is not succeful.Ewell is killed when Arther saves children.Although Atticus thanksArther for saving his children, but he works as a lawyer, thinks Arther should still be in the trial.Atticus is persuaded by the sheriff Tate, Tate says ‘Ewell should be dead.He kills a clear white black and wants to kill two children’.Finally, the sheriff Tate ends up with Ewell chopping his knife into his rib.The author of this book Harper Lee in 1960 the creation of a book, this is her only novel in my life.The reason for Haber Lee\'s creation of the novel is to remove the misreading of the people from the south of the United States.Haber Lee tried to make people notice the side of the white people of the south by shaping the upright and brave white lawyer, Atticus.At the same time, the book also won the Pulitzer prize that year.In 2007, President George W.Bush of the United States awarded a medal of freedom for Harper Lee to praise her achievements in literature.The protagonist Atticus tells the children the quality and spirit that a person should have with his action.It should not be given up and flinch because of the prejudice of others.He treats everyone and every thing fairly with his rightful outlook on life and values.Even if hewas opposed by all, his children had been hurt, but he still insisted on not giving up.Because his purpose is to speak for justice.He knows that he may fail and will not succeed, but he still wants to try.He resisted criticism of public opinion with his own power.In that age, Atticus’s goodne and justice makes an example for the children, let them get the respect and recognition of blacks.He told the children that no matter how many blue birds you shot, it was a sin to kill a mockingbird.Becausemockingbirds don’t destroy the garden of people and don’t make a nest in corn.In addition to singing, nothing does.The mockingbird is a symbol of innocence and kindne.When you kill amockingbird, it is like killing innocent people.They have been innocent all the time, but people are dying for them, like many characters in the novel have not done anything bad, but they are hurt.As a result, they need a righteous person to come forward.For a man we haven\'t met before, other people\'s statements should never become our benchmark.Just like lawyer Atticus said, \"you can\'t really know anyone unle you enter his shoes and accompany him on a journey.\" For the mockingbirds that may be misunderstood, we should treat them with a fair attitude, to protect and cherish the kindne.A fragment makes me feel very deep is when Tom was convicted due to racial discrimination results, makes Atticus very sad, but also hurt the Scout, Jem and Harris, Harris is their friend, three children were crying for the whites to bring suffering to the blacks.Why is a good hearted helping black man convicted? But in the children\'s world view, there is no racial distinction.They think there are the same as blacks, they are all human beings, but only skin color is different.The children\'s heart is pure, eyes are clear,but a child who is not deep in the world weep for this injustice,unreasonable results distort their outlook on life and their values.Their resentment to this biased society will be like a snowball, and it will be bigger.It is not only the humiliation of the society, but also the sorrow of the times.In real life, good and evil coexist, so we should appreciate the virtues of others and look at life from the perspective of others in sympathy.We cannot treat violence with violence, but sin, should learn to understand and learn to tolerate.Sympathy and understanding are the best remedy for evil and hatred.There is a very incisive explanation of democracy in the novel: democracy means that everyone is equal in rights and no one enjoys privileges.Whether black or white should be equal, killing a mockingbird is deprived of such equality, no equality, and no justice.Justice is not the cause of a small number of people, but a common concept supported by most people.In the book, when Atticus decides to defend Tom, most of them are strongly against it, but there are very few people who support Atticus.They support Atticus privately through various actions, however, they are limited to \"private\".Through the full text, it seems that no one really stands out, says \"I think Tom is not guilty\" loudly, but to pour the all hope into Atticus.Many times, we have had doubts in our minds, but never really say it.Because we are afraid of the face of our own, scruples the face of others, scruples about the material and spiritual consequences.To face the unfair behavior, we are not willing to appeal to the public because of our vital interests.If everyone has the same idea in the face of the same situation, no one will stand out to tell the truth.Therefore, we need the pioneers, the people who need to speak the truth, need the little boy in \'The Emperor\'s New Clothes\', and Atticus that reveals the truth.And at the same time, we need to face up to the courage of our heart.’Man\'s nature at birth is good’,I think most people as long as not being biased completely, it must be for justice, for what should do,what shouldn\'t do has a minimum moral perception.When someone objected, don\'t be angry.Instead, you should think about what is right and what is wrong, and then bravely speak for your belief in justice.Justice is everyone in the society seeking for, is that everyone will have the most beautiful and clear dream.Do not let justice be too lonely, we are all righteous friends.
