DavidCopperfield

《David Copperfield》is one of the representative novels by Dickens who is a English critical realism among nineteen century .In this novels which contains a intense autobiography color , Dickens looks back and sums up his own life way through little David ’s history and experience. It not only reflects the author’s life philosophy and moral dream in a great degree , but also announces that society’s real face .

The master David Copper field’s growth road was bumpy and indignant, full of twists and turns ups or downs .His father paed away when he was born, then his sadne life became more dark since his harsh cruel and ferocious stepfather Mr.Murdstone who married with his mother just for money but not love.At first, he was sent to do the child laborer.Latter, because could not bear the maltreatment, he ran to his aunt’s home. His aunt sent him to school, after graduate, he became a lawyer and married his teacher’s daughter Dora. But soon Dora died of disease and David leaf Australia with deep sorrow .After returning to homeland , he had become a writer and marry Agnes , and from this time he started the happine and warmne life .During David’s long hard life , no matter how much tribulation and sadne he suffers ,he never loses the confidence to life .David keeps honest, frank character, positive attitude and a true and pure heart to everyone.

He also insists on the unyielding fight and never gives up his own principle all the time.I think that why I appreciate him so much.

Of course , expect for David Copperfield , there are also many other people leaves unforgettable impreion on me .Such as , the lovely and kindly servant-girl Peggotty , the seeminglyserious but good-natured old woman Betsy , the beautiful and elegant Agnes , the optimistic Mr.Micawber , even the humble and ugly Uriah Heep ...In this novel, Dickens always mention about money which lead to the formation of a series of tragedies.Mr.Murdstone married David’s mother just coveted her property , Emily’selopement was yield to the temptation of money ,the couple of Micawber’s suffering ,Ham’s hopelene ,all of this attribute to money ! And the despicablevillain Uriah Heep went into the depravity step by step under the temptation of money, finally he was put into the prison. So many people say that money is the root of all evil. There is also a saying that money can even let a ghost push a grinder for you.Sometimes, I am puzzled by money, either it bad or good? Maybe , the question is our attitude to money but not money itself .In our real life , in order to seek wealth and profits ,many people give up their principles ,theyforget their families and friends and even hurt them .They become more and more sham and selfish .But when they own a lot of money , are they really happy ? Of course, not! Because they have lost many things

in the proce of seeking.Uriah Heep in the novel is a livingly example .Money is not omnipotence.Too much chasing only lost direction of life! What we should is just treasure the happine and pleasure besides us.

After reading this novel, I also understand and learn many, particularly from David Copperfield.Comparing with David , we are so lucky that we own so much .But we never content and complain all the day .We always exaggerate the pain of growing and live in the illusion of ourselves .It is time for us to wake up from the dreams. We should learn David’s moral character , such as , diligence ,fortitude , genuinene ,and never give up ...Even if life is really very hard , as long as keeping a positive and optimistic attitude and facing everything bravely and strong as well as David Copperfield ,everyone will finally obtain what he wants. We should believe that succe will never live up to those diligent and kind-hearted people .Our futures will very bright if we fight from now on.
