Reading Interests of Senior Middle School Students

Recently a survey has been done to find out the reading interests of senior middle school students.In this survey, one thousand senior middle school students from ten schools in Hubei Province were interviewed.They were asked which they liked reading most among the four categories of English articles: news, stories, popular science articles and articles about learning methods.

Li Ming and I took part in a wilderne survival program yesterday,which has become an unforgettable experience.

Yesterday morning we wore strong and comfortable shoes, carried backpacks with the neceities in them and went to the mountain.We climbed a hill.On the top we saw a direction mark, which told us where to go.Down the hill, we came to a river.There were no boats but we had to cro it.Luckily, both of us had learned how to swim.But we shouldn＇t make our things in the backpacks wet.Seeing a piece of board, I got an idea.We put our backpacks on the board and swam in the water pushing the board.When getting to the other bank, with the compa we found north in which direction we walked half an hour.Finally, we arrived at the campsite.We set up a tent and made a bonfire.

The two of us spent the night in the forest.

We learned to use knowledge gained in claroom training to solve problems.It was quite an experience for both of us, which I＇ll never forget for the rest of my life.

As a Senior Three student, time seems much limited.As a result, more and more students try to study from early morning till late afternoon, even during the ten-minute break.In my opinion, to take a ten-minute break between claes is definitely neceary.Otherwise we will feel tired both physically and mentally.

During the ten-minute break, we do something to get rid of tiredne.What we need is to have a real rest, instead of getting more tired.So doing nothing tiring in that period is really good for us.

My ten-minute break is always pleasing.Sometimes I do some simple exercises.Sometimes I have a free chat with my clamates or just take a walk outside.When the next cla begins, I feel fresh again.
