Good afternoon distinguished profeors.I’m Liu Linli.My topic is on game teaching in primary school.English teaching in primary school is now regarded as an important task in the whole society.Teachers should stimulate and strengthen students’ learning interest under the circumstance to improve teaching effect.Game teaching method is widely used by English teachers in primary school to reach the teaching standard.In the course of playing games, students can take an active part in the games, enjoy the happine of learning and have a sense of achievement.So I divide my thesis into five parts: The first part will give simple introduction to game and game teaching method, of course, some importance of the approach will be included.And the second part is going to analyze the current teaching condition and get some improvements by using game teaching method.In the third part I will introduce two kinds of communicative activities to see how they are used to arouse students’ interest and improve the teaching atmosphere.And the fourth part is to talk about when and how to apply game teaching in primary school.At last I will sum up the whole paper to reveal the importance of game teaching in primary school.

Why do you choose this topic? Thank you for your question.Well, I have to say it is by chance that last semester in our American literature cla, Profeor Zhou yun was giving us a leon “in another country”, it was in the afternoon, and we are not enthusiastic enough until she raises up a topic, sorry, I have forgotten what it was, I just remember suddenly we all become active, we discued in groups and interact with the teacher.At that time I think we college students can become active due to an interesting topic, so do primary school pupils, they are more active and curious than us.Then I think how I can make them active in cla, maybe game is a good choice.Let students playing while studying.They can not only learn knowledge but also gain happine.So that it can reach good teaching effect.

Limitations First, the topic is too old and lack of innovation.It seems that what I have studied, others can do too.So I think in my thesis I can’t find some lighting point to make others impreed at once, as for this maybe I should read more books and consider for a second time.Second, theoretical basis is not sufficient.Most of the thesis I just expre my opinions and feelings.And lack solid foundation of profeional knowledge.As for this I should read and study more methodology written by expert, absorbing experience widely.Last but not least, in the activities, I give two examples, when I design them I haven’t consider some hidden problems.Students are different in many aspects like learning ability, age, characteristics.In the application of these activities, due to these differences students are uncontrolled we may waste a lot of time in playing these games.So when come to cla, before putting these games into practice, I should consider the differences between students.

Conclusion

English teaching is an art as well as a subject.It is an interactive activity between teachers and students.To carry out of the new English curriculum, there are a lot of the problems rising from the field of English in primary school.This thesis analyzes some problems of the present English condition and also gives some suggestions that game teaching can do for them.If teachers want English become an interesting leon for students, they need in the new curriculum under the guidance of the building of new teaching ideas and teaching strategy.Teachers should use proper methods to arouse students’ interests in English learning under the full analysis of the students and the teaching materials.So that students can actively participate in the study.Teachers should arrange claroom games flexibly, pay attention to the new and changeable forms to avoid mechanical repetition in dull.Teachers should try their best to keep students active and enthusiastic in learning and arouse the enthusiasm of the intellectual activity which raises the students’ good memory quality as well as the effect of foreign language learning.In this article, I list two types of communicative approach, information gap activity and role play.The two examples I give are very good activities to arouse students’ interest and create a lively teaching and learning atmosphere.They are beneficial to strengthen students’ memory and improve the teaching effect.Of course, in the proce of teaching English, in order to reach the goals of teaching aims, teachers should pay attention to some aspects of the application of game teaching.Let games succefully played, let students into the English cla like coming to the sun island rippling happy and smiling face while taking part in the games and learning English.All in all, game teaching in primary school is neceary and important.
