School of Foreign Languages Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.My name is Li Xiating.I come from Qujing Normal University.My major is English.Today I’m going to talk about the topic” Do you like bananas?”I will divide the instruction into four parts: they are Teaching material Analysis, Teaching methods, Students’Situation and Teaching procedures.Part 1 Teaching material analysis This leon is from Unit 6.The contents are based on food words.It is divided two parts, section A and section B.Today we are going to learn section A.this part is about talking about likes and dislikes.The main idea of the topic is how to expre their likes and dislikes.We are going to learn how to ask and answer.So this period is very important in this unit.Next I will say Teaching aims 1．Aims of the knowledge: （1）To know some words about food, such as apple, banana, orange and so on..（2）To learn plural of the word and how to change them.（3）To learn main sentence patterns “do you like……？I like …….She likes ……” Finally, to know how to change the sentences, when the subject are the singular of third person 2．Aims of the abilities: （1）To improve the ability of understanding according to look pictures.（2）To improve the ability of communication.Students will be divided many parts and ask others’ ideals.3．Aims of the emotion: （1）To understand how to expre feelings about something.（2）To tell students healthy diet.Teaching emphasis and difficulties of this leon 1．How to change Countable nouns into plural.2．To apply sentences to ask others and know to change sentences, when the subject is the singular of third person.Part 2 students’ situation This period students are 13 or 14.They are smart, and have many ideals.They can accept new thing quickly.The students learn English no long time.So I should pay attention to students’ knowledge and experience.Let them understand easily.Part 3 Teaching methods In this topic, I will use pictures to make them memorize the words.I design some tasks to help the students learn how to talk and ask likes and dislikes.I will give them sentence patterns and ask them to use these make sentences.Part 4 Teaching procedure
1、talk something to attract students’ attention.
2、apply pictures to make students understand the words, and tell them the rule about countable nouns changes into plural.Then I will ask students to practice.
3、explain the sentence patterns “do you like……? I like……”and so on.And explain the sentences change.
4、students can use the sentence to make sentences and dialogue according to pictures.

6、students are divided some parts to ask and answer each other, according to the chart.
7、homework To ask your parents’ likes and dislikes food and to make a dialogue.During my teaching，I’ll try my best to get my cla alive and encourage the students to talk with each other in English.I think the general aim of English teaching is to improve the ability of using English.And I’ll use this to guide my teaching.Thank you!
