Hubei University was celebrating her 80th anniversary on October 15, 2011.She has grown from a little rural normal college to a key comprehensive university under the administration of Hubei province during the past eighty years.In 2004, Hubei University has paed the National Quality Aement of the Four-year Undergraduate Program and been awarded the Excellence Prize by the Ministry of Education of P.R.China, the most influential award of education in the country.
After four-score years of development, Hubei University now boasts three campuses

Currently, the University equips with 1030 full-time teachers, among which profeors and aociate profeors take up 665, doctoral supervisors and master’s supervisors account for 445.The full-time undergraduates and junior college students reach more than 16,000 and the doctoral students and postgraduates take up more than 3200.Furthmore, the University is fully equipped with all kinds of teaching equipments and public service facilities, which constitute an ideal place for the students to acquire knowledge and to cultivate mental character.改译：
