The story deals with the life of David Copperfield from childhood to maturity.With the character of the hero,It tell us the real society at that time and especially expre that the erosion of money worship to the contempory marriage viewpoint ,family and society.A serious of tragedys are also lead by them.David’s stepfather are engaged in his mother because of her property;Ainily ‘s elopement because she was not superior to tempetation about money;Mikefer’s suffering and Haim’s disappointment.Even the rat Xipu relapsed into life imprisonment duo to persuing money.Dickens reveal the evil of money from angle of humanism,fanilly the real society in “Victorian” was bright into light.
Before he was born ,his father was paed away,and his mother was remarried with a man of avarice and mercile.Futhermore the sister of his stepfather was also a woman of bitch,David was tortured with all sorts of means by them,and David’s mother was die under torture.After mother die, David was coerce into working.Then he tried to escape to seek refuge with his aunt as a result that he entered into a fabulous receive good education.Althrough suffering a lot when he was young,David has never changed his kindne,integrity and ready to help others.In the end he get ahead succefully in his career,but also on his happine.
One feature on David’s characterization is author’s all sorts of inspiration and persperation .Whether he had experienced all the hardships and sorrows of age of orphans who would succeed him later in life unyielding struggle,shows a small figure in the course of capitalist societies find a way out of suffering .He has always believed that ordinary people are oppreed status .Its morality is far better than those rulers, oppreors.It is based on this belief.Many ordinary people such as fisherman peggotty in the novel, though with nothing left ,no education ,has a heart be kind and honest,and in sharp contrast to rich sitifuzi and did.this strong contrast also reflects Dickens\'s own morality: \"Each bird love to hear himself sing, and evil with evil.\"
In the novel the main character’s ending are all along this thread design, Symbolizing evil sheep and sitifuzi finally got the punishment they deserve, while good people have found a welcome home.Dickens greek morality wing to change society,elimination of evil in the world ,this is where his limitation.
