惠子对 庄子说：“魏王送我大葫芦种子，我将它培植起来后，结出的果实有五石容积。用大葫芦去盛水浆，可是它的坚固程度承受不了水的压力。把它剖开做瓢，但它又平又浅的，装不了什么东西。这个葫芦不是不大呀，我因为它没有什么用处而砸烂了它。”庄子说：“先生实在是不善于使用大东西啊！宋国有一善于调制不皲手药物的人家，世世代代以漂洗丝絮为职业。有个游客听说了这件事，愿意用百金的高价收买他的药方。全家人聚集在一起商量：‘我们世世代代在河水里漂洗丝絮，所得不过数金，如今一下子就可卖得百金。还是把药方卖给他吧。’游客得到药方，来游说吴王。正巧 越国发难，吴王派他统率部队，冬天跟越军在水上交战，大败越军，吴王划割土地封赏他。能使手不皲裂，药方是同样的，有的人用它来获得封赏，有的人却只能靠它在水中漂洗丝絮，这是使用的方法不同。如今你有五石容积的大葫芦，怎么不考虑用它来制成腰舟，而浮游于江湖之上，却担忧葫芦太大无处可容？看来先生你还是心窍不通啊！”

Good afternoon , my respected teachers and judges, my name is yangqi.It’s my great honour to stand here to give my speech.The title of my speech is “Try to find out the best value of everything”.I believe that we all have watched the video.In this video Huize told Zhuangze that he ha a large kind of big gourd but he found it usele .So he broke it up.After hearing these comments, Zhuangze said “I’m afraid that you mind is stuffy inside”.
This video shows that everything has its own value.What counts is whether it can be found out the best value .
In our life we think that many things are not valuable, so we ignored them in many ways.But this is not the case.Such as lag spike, although it is very small and common, it has very important effect on many things.God closes a door for you and a window will be opened for you.Everyone has their own strength and weakne.The important thing is that we need to find out the best value of us.If Luxun wouldn’t give up the job of doctor, he maybe could not make a great contribution to our society.Everyone has their own different value.As the saying goes, your attitude decides everything.

“赠人玫瑰，手有余香”
——2010外研社杯英语演讲比赛（福建决赛）志愿者陈静娴感悟 提笔写起本次大赛中志愿者经历带给我的感悟，赛场中忙碌的情景便又浮现在眼前。晨曦中那一个个奔忙的白色身影，胸前小小的工作牌赋予我们的是大大的荣誉。虽然是一整天的忙碌，但在我们心里，这种感觉是幸福的。作为东道主，我们很骄傲能借这份志愿服务工作，为大赛的举办贡献自己的一份力量。都说夏花之烂漫，秋叶之静美不及志愿者们的微笑美丽暖人，因而我希望我们的笑容能成为厦门理工学院最好的名片。
从赛场到休息室，随处都能看到厦门理工学院学生英语发展中心的志愿者们默默奉献的身影。当选手们在讲台上自由地发挥他们的演讲技巧的时候，当精彩的比赛激烈地进行着的时候，我们其实也很想一睹选手的风采，也想坐在观众席上为选手们加油打气，但是我们明白作为一名志愿者就要做出一些牺牲，当选手们对我们说“辛苦了”的时候，我们总是答道：“没什么”。如此朴实的一句话，却很好的诠释了我们志愿者的精神。
我作为现场的机动人员，虽然是随时补缺的角色，但那些不值一提的小事总是需要有人去做的。而选手们恰恰是在这些单调的重复和微不足道的渺小中，理解了我们志愿者不可忽视的集体力量。当看到选手们投来感激的目光时，我便回以一如地中海的阳光般灿烂的笑容。虽然本次大赛的时间很短暂，但对我的内心
却是一次洗礼，我真正感受到志愿者那种全心付出，为他人服务而不求回报的心境。我们的工作又累又苦是真，但是心底的那份充盈和满足感是任何东西都无法替代的。都说付出是快乐的源泉，因而我们嘴角的笑意总是很自然地从心底流出。我突然感悟到：如果我们做每一件事都带着认真负责的态度，带着一份发自内心的关爱，即使在平凡琐碎的工作中，我们也能找到快乐。“赠人玫瑰，手有余香”，毫无功利的需求，唯有满足后的平静与快乐。
这场盛宴，对我们志愿者而言是一次前路美好的启程，这一路上承载着用最真诚的服务书写理工文化的每一个人。
或许，再多的赞誉都无法概括出全体志愿者们付出的辛勤与汗水，但那些带着笑意离去的身影会告诉人们，我们曾经怎样走过。

“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛是外语教学与研究出版社联合教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会和教育部高等学校英语专业教学指导分委员会主办的全国性英语演讲赛事。比赛分三个阶段：校级初赛，省级复赛，全国决赛。为选拔优秀选手代表西安科技大学参加“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛陕西赛区的复赛，我校将举办“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛西安科技大学选拔赛。 此次比赛由教务处、校团委、人文与外国语学院主办，人文与外国语学院分团委协办。现将有关事宜通知如下：

三、比赛形式

“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛（原 “CCTV杯全国英语演讲大赛”）和“外研社杯”全国英语写作大赛是由外语教学与研究出版社主办、教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会合办的全国性公益赛事，“‘外研社杯’全国英语阅读大赛”于 2015 年全新举办。为推动英语教学，提高学生英语实际运用能力，同时为2016年“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛、写作大赛、阅读大赛”江西省复赛和全国决赛选拔优秀参赛选手，决定分别举办2016“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛、写作大赛、阅读大赛南昌大学选拔赛。现将赛事的有关具体事宜通知如下：
一、2016年“外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛南昌大学选拔赛

二、2016“外研社杯”全国英语写作及阅读大赛南昌大学选拔赛
比赛形式：两个比赛合并为一场。写作比赛90分钟，阅读比赛60分钟，试卷分开发放。比赛不允许携带电子设备，不允许使用网络。
写作比赛题型：下面三种类型中指定的两篇命题写作。 类型一：记叙文写作（Narrative Writing），要求选手完成一篇记叙文写作（500－600词）。侧重考查选手的阅读理解、语言运用、细节描写、形象思维、创意构思、人文素养等综合能力。
类型二：议论文写作（Argumentative Writing），要求选手完成一篇议论文写作（500－600词）。侧重考查选手的文献阅读理解、信息综合处理、判断分析、逻辑思辨、评价论述等能力，展示选手的知识广度、视野维度、思想深度等综合素质。
类型三：说明文写作（Expository Writing），要求选手完成一篇说明文写作（500词左右）。侧重考查选手解说事物、阐明事理的能力，以及运用知识、观察理解、梳理分析、提炼总结、跨文化沟通的综合能力。
阅读比赛题型：请参看附件中“大赛章程”和样题。我校将自行决定题型。
比赛时间：10月16日（星期日）上午8：30---11：00 奖项设置：
两项大赛分别成立专人评审组阅卷，分别按参赛人数的1%、3%、6%、10%比例设置
一、
二、三等奖，前10%的参赛选手获得“外研社杯”全国英语写作大赛组委会及“外研社杯”全国阅读大赛组委会颁发的获奖证书（参看附件中大赛章程）；最后分别选择三名优秀选手（获得特等奖）参加2016年“外研社杯”全国英语写作大赛江西省复赛及2016年“外研社杯”全国英语阅读大赛江西省复赛。
三、报名条件及方式 报名条件：
演讲比赛报名不设条件 写作与阅读大赛报名条件： 1.非英语专业
大一学生需高考英语分数达到135分以上
大二学生到所在的英语班级的任课老师处报名筛选 大三大四的学生需四级英语总分在550分以上或六级总分在520分以上。
2.英语专业学生不设条件。报名方式：
1.大二非英语专业的学生阅读与写作比赛在任课老师处报名并筛选；
2.其余比赛报名（包括英语专业学生）需关注南昌大学英文广播电台微信公众号“ncuebs”，关注成功后会自动获取报名链接（已经关注的发送任意内容即可获取报名链接），点击链接进入报名页面。大三及以上的学生还需在报名表中上传四六级成绩证明（清晰的四六级成绩单照片或网上查询截图）。线上报名截止时间为9月27日。

大赛旨在以丰富的内容与严谨的形式，通过各地高校、大学外语教学研究会以及主办单位有组织、分层次的选拔和组织比赛，为全国大学生创造一个激励外语学习、展示综合能力、培养优秀人才的平台，并以此推动高校英语教学改革，创新教学方法，展现教学水平，促进教师发展。
大赛分初赛、复赛和决赛三个程序。初赛为参赛学校选拔参加复赛选手的校级比赛，复赛为各参赛学校选手到指定赛点进行的省（市、自治区）级比赛，决赛为各省（市、自治区）复赛前3名选手统一到北京进行的国家级比赛。
我院初赛由教务处主办，外国语学院承办。初步选出最优秀的两名同学，代表我院全校性比赛。为了做好我院的初赛工作并为参加广西区复赛选拔优秀选手。现将初赛有关事宜通知如下:
一、初赛演讲题目：“What We Can Not Afford to Lose”（三分钟）；回答与内容相关1－2个问题（两分钟）。

五、评分标准
1、内容要求：主题鲜明，与小标题相符，内容清楚、结构清晰、中心突出，合理展开、阐释充分、证据相关、逻辑性强，内容生动、不枯燥，能吸引听众注意力。
2.语言要求：使用标准英国英语或美国英语。语言准确（发音清晰，音调、音高适度，用词准确、相关），语言流利（注意连读、词重音、句重音、语调和节奏）。
3.技巧要求：幽默感（不能是哑剧式的幽默或调侃），注意手势、眼神接触与身体语言，自信，有感情与气势；适当使用修辞手段（比喻、类比等）。
4.时间控制：定题演讲或即兴演讲在2分30秒时有铃声提示，超过3分15秒，或不足2分45秒，扣0.5-1分。

这次总结废话就不说了，直接说从个人主观角度我看到和体会到
的自己的工作中的不到位以及大赛过程中我能看到的所有问题，如果
措辞不当，请学姐见谅。
客观上时间紧，但真的不是办出这种活动的原因，先说我个人，1确实不够仔细，表格上这个错误是致命的，一忙就乱，面对选手频
繁改动信息以及不断新增选手这些，我应该有个全局观，仔仔细细的
核对表，有的表叫上别人一起看，看了几遍都没看出错误，真是笨啊。
工作中一定要更用心，更仔细，更是不要一忙就乱，做事沉沉稳稳，
做到心中有数，时刻提醒自己注意细节。2前期没写策划，缺乏一个
给自己以及帮我们部办活动的其他部门一个把握全局的参照。没策划
也不多问学姐，是我不够积极主动，我应该多问超姐最先将这个活动
前前后后弄得清清楚楚，这样才能让帮我们部的其他部门也明白自己
要怎么帮。3关于选手出啦啦队这块，也是我工作中的失误，忙着核
对所有信息，却忽略了阶二A教室的容量，完全把这块忽略了。最后
给生活部以及学姐这造成这么大的麻烦实在是抱歉。4这个总结越写
越沉重啊，觉得我这块没做好的太多了。没多给主持人顺流程；没多
给其他部顺流程；没及时去问现场话筒设置问题；没拦得下要走的观
众；没做好与其他部门的沟通；没亲自去给算分计分处送我整理好的
表，忙着给评委放置东西，让别人送的，拿错了，出了状况；没理解
超姐说的纸笔中的白纸意思也没问；即兴演讲题目我这英语水平太
烂，也帮不上忙，还麻烦超姐找的题目……但现在抱歉是一句很没用的话，汲取教训。
对于咱们学生会整个工作上来说，确实存在一部分问题。
一前期准备，最失误的一点是缺乏沟通，院学生会各部之间，各部内部之间，各个干事之间，都普遍有这个现象。咱们院各部之间在本次活动刚开始着手的时候我觉得就应该把各部负责人聚在一起提前布置下去，让他们明白有这么个活动要忙了，到时候需要各部配合什么。当然这次主要是我没写策划导致这个环节没进行，是我工作中的不到位。其次，各个部门这间关系不紧密，这个不仅在这次活动中有，其他活动也普遍存在。每个活动都是主办部忙的要死，其他部根本不知道你在干什么。开个动员大会，很多人并不太清楚要做什么，不明白活动主办部的前前后后付出。比如吧，如果分配我负责关灯，那我就只看好这灯，旁边观众要走也不拦，觉得那是生活部的事，与我无关。具体到现场实施，又临时起了状况，明知要改变关灯的程序了，能看到的也不做，也不问，等着学姐学长来催。一旦责怪，也都推卸责任说原来走流程的时候告诉我是这样的，我按的是流程。责任感不强。我觉得在主办部前期忙的时候就让各部动起来，协助做一些很边角的事，让他们看到主办部的付出，体会办此次活动的辛苦，也能帮忙减轻一下主办部的工作量，也能改变这种有的部门有活动了，往死里忙；没活动了，闲的太无事的局面，把一些工作分化，逐渐的融入日常生活中，适当忙。当然，这只是个想法，可能实施起来不好操作，我的眼界比较小，考虑的不周全。最后，活动开场前的会场布
置以及走流程的问题，咱们这次活动没有一次是有关的所有部门，主持人，参赛选手都在场，都参与的情况下仔细地顺下流程。即使勉强要顺流程了，也只是主持人要顺主持词，读报分的人也没参与，选手并不清楚大赛临时下的更改。这也是我工作中的不到位，没能及时告知参赛选手以及协调各个相关部门和人员。
二现场状况太多了。
1入场混乱，参赛选手的啦啦人数报多了，我却没能及时告知姐或自己调整人数。
2报分环节未收分报分，整个第一阶段这个分数的读报都显得莫名其妙，报分人都是懵的。还是上午顺流程的时候收报分人员未参与的原因，又缺乏经验，坐在场上愣了，等着人来送话筒，等着学姐来叮嘱。
3主持人报错分数，选手序号，姓名，活动环节。
4选手上台演讲，话筒是上台开下台关，还是一直开着，这是在活动进行了一段之后我和波波看每开一次话筒就会发出巨大的声音，商量后才定成的保持话筒一直开着，之前在会议上商量的流程不符合现场情况，上午彩排走场时都忽略了这个问题。原本告知选手第二阶段是手持麦，因为音响师傅不配合，这个也调整成立麦了，我没有得到这个变更的消息，也没有人来告知选手，临场上台才发现又变了，变来变去选手很不满意。
5中场节目前桌子的搬放，以及话筒的撤走，负责撤话筒的人是临场决定的，连话筒要怎么关都不知道
6嘉宾席上空缺位置的补给完全可以由工作人员劝说一下，让后面的观众补进去，劝说一下后面的观众，有更适合观看节目的位置，引导他们前去。而本次活动中我看着观众有站的，有一开始就有要走的，而咱们的工作人员有坐在嘉宾席上的，有站在走道上的聊天的，笑的，还有问我跑来跑去干吗呢。
7咱们后来让后面观众补到嘉宾席后，突然就出现咱们三个工作人员去收，留在桌上原本为嘉宾准备的矿泉水，有的观众就生气的将水倒立在桌上，场面很难堪。我在前面催台位置，这些看得很清楚，显得咱们很小气。当然既然要收水肯定有收水的理由，我这看得很窄 。
8中场节目大混乱时咱们维持秩序的人在哪啊。我在门口看着这状况就已经难受的不行了，咱们前前后后就换来这么个混乱。实在是看不下去了，在这之后我绕着场想让咱们工作人员帮忙及时摁下去想走的观众，但大三的我没法说，大二的我只能解释着说，大一的只能叮嘱一下，这真的轮不到我去让别人维持秩序，我只是社团部的干事，顶多换届了是个副部，有点越界，可能不招人喜欢，但这个活动出现这种混乱真像是被人轮着打了几个耳巴子，心急的难受。
9表出错，我的责任。
10中场文艺节目的话筒都让丹阳来换了，其他人太忙吗，不是有很多站那聊天的。丹阳前前后后跑的，辛苦。很多昨天挨训的人到现在还是觉得自己很委屈，主要因为觉得这活动跟他没关系。
11最后分数未及时算出来，出现冷场的现象。最初咱们讨论的
电影环节从最初放在中场，到后来被取消，我这就没人告知一下不要电影了。咱们后来又都提议放在最后做备用，后来不知道怎么就没有了。
12评委坏事啊。
13颁奖顺序，优秀组织奖还是放在最后了。
14咱们大赛考虑到去年实行淘汰赛制，一部分参赛选手会情绪不好，中途要离席，今年这样以为是和谐赛制，到最后还是有哭的选手，有一公布分数就要离席的选手，有说咱们算错分数的。淘汰赛制虽然会让一部分选手不高兴，但那主要原因是她的英语水平不好。这样不淘汰，是给选手了一次机会，但她能把握住吗，有这个水平和实力吗。恐怕今年这拨选手中很大一部分明显的不行。咱们给观众看了很多选手的烂英语水平，当然没人鼓掌，没人关注。

一 大赛宗旨
“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛”（原 “‘CCTV杯’全国英语演讲大赛”）是由外语教学与研究出版社主办、教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会合办的全国性英语演讲赛事。
大赛旨在以丰富的内容与严谨的形式，通过各地高校、大学外语教学研究会以及主办单位有组织、分层次的选拔，为全国大学生创造一个激励外语学习、展示综合能力、培养优秀人才的平台，同时推动高校英语教学，创新教学方法，展现教学水平，促进教师发展。
大赛组织机构权威，流程规范，覆盖面广，代表性强；赛程设计合理，赛制严谨，评判严格，保证公平、公正；比赛形式丰富，多角度展现选手的演讲水平与综合能力；着力拓宽学生视野，引导学生关注热点，培养思辨能力与文化沟通能力。

全国具有高等学历教育招生资格的普通高等学校在校本、专科学生、研究生。35岁以下，中国国籍。在职研究生、曾进入往届“‘CCTV杯’全国英语演讲大赛”决赛，以及曾获得“‘外研社杯’全国英语辩论赛”出国奖项的选手不包括在内。
六 大赛程序
初赛
组织方式：各参赛学校作为初赛赛点，由本校外语院（系）或大学外语教学部负责组织实施。所在省（市、自治区）大学外语教学研究会可给予协助与支持。
参赛资格：每个初赛赛点应有不少于20人参赛。参赛学校应保证本校符合参赛资格的学生有公平的报名参赛机会。

参赛资格：由各省复赛组织机构决定各初赛赛点进入复赛的名额。
比赛时间：2010年11月25日前完成复赛，并将入围决赛的选手名单上报大赛组委会秘书处。

参赛资格：各省（市、自治区）复赛前3名（限3人，不得出现并列名次）选手。主办单位还将邀请香港、澳门、台湾地区的选手参加决赛。

Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon.Today I would like to begin with an advertisement, “Here‘s to the crazy ones.The misfits, the rebels, the trouble-makers, the round pegs in the square holes.The ones who see things differently, they’re not fond of rules and they have no respect for the status-quo.You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can\'t do is ignore them.Because they change things, they push the human race forward, And while some may see them as the crazy ones.We see genius, because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” This is Apple Think Different TV AD, which is Claic.And now, if I must choose a world as the one can change the world, it is “Apple”.

“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛”、“‘外研社杯’全国英语写作大赛”和“‘外研社杯’全国英语阅读大赛”是由外语教学与研究出版社和教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会、教育部高等学校英语专业教学指导分委员会联合举办的公益大赛。
“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛”于2002年创办，在国内外广受关注，已成为全国参赛人数最多、规模最大、水平最高的英语演讲赛事；“‘外研社杯’全国英语写作大赛”于2012年启动，旨在推动英语写作教学，提高学生英语写作水平，引领高校外语写作教学的改革与发展；“‘外研社杯’全国英语阅读大赛”于2015年全新举办，旨在通过比赛的形式，激发大学生的英语学习热情，为他们提供阅读实践的机会和自我挑战的舞台。三项大赛以高远的立意和创新的理念，汇聚全国优秀学子，竞技英语表达与沟通艺术。同一赛场，三个舞台，既各具特色，又互促互进，为全国大学生提供展示外语能力、沟通能力与思辨能力的综合平台。

组织形式 2015“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛”包括“地面赛场”和“网络赛场”两种形式。“地面赛场”比赛方式与往届相同，每复赛区前 3 名选手（全国共 90 名）参加全国决赛。“网络赛场”在大赛官网进行，除通过“地面赛场”获得决赛资格的选手外，所有符合大赛参赛资格的选手均可报名参赛。在“网络赛场”评选中，排名前 30 的选手（名额不作区域限定）有资格参加全国决赛。主办单位还将邀请港、澳、台选手参赛，与“地面赛场”的 90 名选手、“网络赛场”的 30 名选手共同角逐大赛冠、亚、季军。 参赛资格

比赛方式
（一）地面赛场
初 赛
组织方式：各参赛学校作为初赛赛点，由本校外语院（系）或大学外语教学部负责组织实施。所在省（市、自治区）大学外语教学研究会可给予协助与支持。
参赛资格：每个初赛赛点应有不少于 20 人参赛。参赛学校应保证本校符合参赛资格的学生有公平的报名参赛机会。
比赛时间：根据本省（市、自治区）大学外语教学研究会公布的时间安排举办，确保在本省（市、自治区）复赛之前完成初赛。

比赛方式：现场写作，使用大赛专用写作评阅系统进行操作。比赛不允许携带电子设备，不允许使用网络。
决 赛 复赛结束后，各省大学外语教学研究会将获得决赛资格的3名选手向大赛组委会秘书处报名参加全国决赛。大赛组委会不接受选手个人直接报名。 比赛地点：北京
比赛时间：2015年12月9日9:00－12:00 比赛方式：现场写作，使用大赛专用写作评阅系统进行操作。比赛不允许携带电子设备，不允许使用网络。组委会统一提供词典。
“‘外研社杯’全国英语阅读大赛”分为“模拟赛”和“大赛”两个阶段。
一、模拟赛
正式比赛前，大赛组委会将举办模拟赛。学生自愿报名，在大赛官方网站注册后直接参加模拟赛。
比赛方式：登录大赛官方网站，在“外研社杯”全国英语阅读大赛赛事系统中线上参赛。每次模拟赛持续三天，选手可以在三天内选择任意时间上网参加模拟赛。（详情见每次模拟赛具体通知。）
二、大赛

大赛江西赛区复赛的通知
2011年‘外研社杯’全国大学生英语演讲大赛江西赛区复赛定于2011年11月19日在江西理工大学（老校区）举行。具体通知如下：
1、报名学校每校三名选手，其中包括大学英语的学生和英语专业的学生。
2、本次比赛包括预赛和决赛，预赛选手将讲演准备好的讲演，时间为3分钟，题目为“A word that has changed the world.”。 （该演讲题要求有一个小标题）。然后评委提一个有关问题，选手回答一分钟。决赛由重复上午的演讲题目和即兴演讲组成，选手在演讲前10分钟抽取即兴演讲题，第一篇有准备的演讲结束后，对即兴演讲题演讲2分钟。有准备演讲和即兴演讲各100分。（本次即兴演讲题目不公布）
3、欢迎研究生、本专科英语专业和大学英语的学生参赛。为照顾各类学生参赛的积极性，本次比赛预赛分研究生和本科英语专业、专科英语专业、本科大学英语、专科大学英语四组比赛。每组按比例选出若干优秀的选手，参加决赛，这样保证了各类选手进决赛的人数。预赛分组根据报名人数决定。预赛选出20名选手进入决赛。
4、决赛时对各类选手评分标准相同。设特等奖3名，一等奖7名，二等奖10名，三等奖30名。特等奖、一等奖、二等奖按决赛成绩从高到低分选出，三等奖从预赛各组按比例选出。3名特等奖出席全国半决赛。
5、每位选手应交报名费100元。交通、膳食、住宿费用自理。

尊敬的院系领导：
为营造我院浓厚的英语学习氛围，激励大学生勤奋学习，学以致用，不断提高外语听说技能，积极参与国际交流，吸收各国优秀文化，培养思辨能力，增强创新意识和实践能力，人文科学系拟组织全院学生参加2010年“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛” （原 “‘CCTV杯’全国英语演讲大赛”）。具体相关事宜如下：
一 赛事介绍
“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛”（原“‘CCTV杯’全国英语演讲大赛”）是由外语教学与研究出版社主办、教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会与教育部高等学校英语专业教学指导委员会合办的全国性英语演讲赛事。
大赛旨在为全国大学生创造一个激励英语学习、培养思辨能力、展现综合风采、培养优秀人才的平台，同时为中西文化架起一座促进文化沟通、增进国际交流的桥梁。
大赛组织机构权威，流程规范，覆盖面广，代表性强；赛程设计合理，赛制严谨，评判严格，保证公平、公正；比赛形式丰富，多角度展现选手的演讲水平与综合能力；着力拓宽学生视野，引导学生关注热点，培养思辨能力与文化沟通能力。
2010年“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛” ”分三个阶段进行，即：初赛、复赛、决赛。
二 大赛流程
此次是应用科学学院继2009年后再次独立选派选手代表本院参加此类英语演讲大赛。选拔赛具体流程如下：
1 大赛宣传、组织报名
报名时间：9月24日至30日
报名方式：各班学习委员将本班参赛同学信息（姓名、专业班级、联系电话）汇总后于9月30日之前上交至公外教研室或英语专业教研室。
宣传方式：以海报，横幅等形式在教学主楼大门口、宿舍到食堂的小卖部对面、教学楼到食堂上坡处进行宣传。
2 大赛启动仪式
为更好地营造我院英语学习氛围，宣传此次赛事，本次大赛拟于9月29日在我院图书馆学术报告厅举办2010年“全国大学生英语竞赛”颁奖大会暨2010年“‘外研社杯’全国英语演讲大赛选拔赛”启动仪式。届时将特邀我院相关领导，英语教师等莅临启动仪式现场。
3 学院初赛
参赛对象：全院学生
比赛时间：10月22日
比赛地点：主教学楼（待定）
抽签规则：初赛选手的选手号由抽签决定，所抽到的号码或次序为最终结果，不得与任何人交换。抽签时间为比赛的前一天。
评委组成：评委人数不少于5 人，由我院讲师以上英语教师担任。
比赛环节：比赛分为定题演讲、回答问题两部分。
1）、定题演讲：每位选手首先进行有准备发言，题目为“_________Is My Top Concern”。演讲时间为3 分钟，选手可自定小标题；（此题为大赛北京决赛题目）
2）、回答问题：由提问评委就选手定题演讲内容提一个问题，选手回答时间为1 分钟；
内容要求：主题鲜明，与小标题相符，内容清楚、结构清晰、中心突出，合理展开、阐释充分、证据相关、逻辑性强，内容生动、不枯燥，能吸引听众注意力。
语言要求：使用标准英国英语或美国英语。语言准确（发音清晰，音调、音高合适，用词准确、相关），语言流利（注意连读、词重音、句重音、语调和节奏等）。
技巧要求：自信，有感情与气势；注意手势、眼神与身体语言；幽默感（不能是哑剧式的幽默或调侃）；适当使用修辞手段（比喻、类比等）。
时间控制：定题演讲在2 分30秒时有铃声提示，超过3 分15秒，或不足2 分45秒，扣0.5-1 分。回答问题在45秒时有铃声提示，不足45秒或超过1 分15秒，扣0.5-1 分。
道具使用：定题演讲中允许使用实物、图片等辅助道具，但仅限使用一次道具，使用道具过多将被酌情扣分。
备注：
1）初赛入围的20名选手进入下一轮的决赛。入围选手名单届时将以海报的形式张贴在主楼门口。
2）所有入围决赛的选手必须在2010年11月5日前到大赛官方网站（http://www.daodoc.com）填写相关信息。信息完备的注册选手方可参加决赛。
4集中指导
学院初赛结束后，人文科学系公外教研室、专业教研室拟于10月25日至11月4日组成“外研社杯”演讲大赛辅导小组对20名入围选手进行专门的决赛赛前集中指导。
5 学院决赛
参赛对象：入围决赛的20名选手
比赛时间：11月5日
比赛地点：图书馆学术报告厅
抽签规则：初赛选手的选手号由抽签决定，所抽到的号码或次序为最终结果，不得与任何人交换。抽签时间为比赛的前一天。
评委组成：评委人数不少于5 人，其中外籍评委不少于2 人。中国籍评委具有副教授以上职称。
比赛环节：包括定题演讲、即兴演讲、回答问题三部分。

奖项设置：
一等奖3名；二等奖4名；三等奖5名
备注：
1） 所有获奖选手均可获得获奖证书及奖品；

6 强化训练
11月8日至江西省赛区复赛比赛日，人文科学系“外研社杯”演讲赛辅导小组拟对3名选送选手每天进行赛前强化训练。
7 江西赛区复赛
10月15日前，江西省大学外语教学研究会确定复赛承办单位，发布复赛通知。11月25日前，完成江西赛区复赛。
此次大赛将对营造我院浓厚的英语学习氛围，促进我院英语教学水平的不断提高，提高我院学生学习英语的兴趣及培养高素质人才产生不可忽视的影响。基于以上考虑，特申请组织学院大学生英语演讲比赛暨2010年 “外研社杯”全国英语演讲大赛选拔赛。（附大赛经费预算详细报告及大赛章程）
