初次见面的外国人跟你说了句\"How do you do\", 估计多数人都会美滋滋地搬出学校教的那套,回敬一句\"How do you do\"。 所以,当别人说\"How do you do\"的时候,你最好改答\"Nice to meet you\"或者\"It\'s a pleasure to meet you\"。

JAKE: Hi! My name is Jake.We haven\'t met before, have we??

DEBBIE: No, we haven\'t! My name is Debbie.?

JAKE: Nice to meet you, Debbie!?

DEBBIE: Nice to meet you, too, Jake.?

JAKE: Are you a new student??

DEBBIE: Yes, I am.What about you??

JAKE: Yeah, me too!?

JAKE: What\'re you studying here??

DEBBIE: Journalism.I want to be a journalist. What about you??

JAKE: I\'m doing law.But I\'m thinking of doing busine studies instead.? DEBBIE: Do they allow you to change??

Wang Dong: Good morning. Are you James Taylor??

James Taylor: Yes, and ...?

Wang Dong: Welcome to Beijing, President Taylor.I\'m Wang Dong, the secretary of the foreign affairs office from China Bright Advertising Company. Please call me Wang.? James Taylor: Oh, nice to meet you, Wang.?

Wang Dong: Nice to meet you, too.How was the flight??

James Taylor: It was OK, though I feel a bit tired.?

Wang Dong: Would you like me to help you with the luggage??

James Taylor: Oh, thank you.?

Wang Dong: Please follow me to the gate. The company car is waiting for you outside.?

1 二个人用 Nice to meet you 相互问候。

4 Wang Dong

Brief greetings:?

-- Hi! (for informal situation)?

-- Hello! (for informal situation)?

-- Hullo! (for informal situation)?

-- Good morning/afternoon/evening.(for more formal situation)?

Extended greetings at the first meeting:?

-- Nice to meet you.(-- Nice to meet you, too.)?

-- How do you do! (--Nice to meet you.) (for more formal situation)?

1.Nice to meet you. 二个素不认识的老美见面打招呼的方式很简单,就是一个人先说\"Nice to meet you\", 另一个人说 \"Nice to meet you, too\",然后相互握手。

2.Give me a hug.

这时候通常问候一句 \"How are you doing\" 或者 \"What\'s up\" 比较好一些。

3.Do you want to exchange numbers?

你可以说 \"Do you want to exchange numbers\" 或是直截了当要对方的电话 \"Could I have your phone number\"。

The effect of an exhibition can hardly be seen easily in the short term.So after 3-6 months, the exhibition plan and the effects can be compared, which is an important way to analyze the outcome. For example, if a company plans to recognize 500 new customers, develop 20 buyers and develop another 20 buyers after a year; the expectation can be compared with the results to see the effectivene.

Five months after the exhibition, Mr.Huang is in the General Manager’s office, talking with Mr.Wang about their busine situation.

H: Good morning, Mr.Wang.I have some good news to tell you.

W: Oh.Please be seated.I learned that you have been doing quiet well recently.

H: Yes, that’s what I want to tell you.Our orders are doubled after the exhibition, and we are still receiving orders these days. Most of the buyers are visitors we met during the exhibition. Our displayed items gave them a very deep impreion. Now we can say that the exhibition is really a succe.

W: That’s really exciting.By the way, what are you going to do with the next exhibition?

H: We are making preparations for that.We plan to make a brochure of our products and run some advertisements during the exhibition so that more people will know us.We are still going to hold pre conference, which I think is very effective to promote our products.Do you think it’s neceary to prepare some gifts for the exhibition?

W: That’s a good idea. It’s worthwhile to do that. You really learned a lot from the exhibition.Good luck to you.

第一天到公司上班,You must be nervous.

Peter: Good Morning.May I introduce myself? My name\'s Peter King and I\'m new here.Anna: Pleased to meet you.I\'m Anna White, the aistant to the Personnel Manager.Welcome

to our company.

在formal正式场合中, 要用:Good morning/afternoon或How do you do,同时要shaking hands“握握手”来显示你的sincerity诚意。

May I introduce myself? My name\'s Peter King,你还可以说:Let me introduce myself.My name\'s Peter.或者

I\'m Peter.

Peter: Could you introduce me to the Manager?

Susan: Of course.Mr.King...Mr.White, let me introduce you to Mr.Peter King, the new

clerk in your department.

White: How do you do.I\'m Alex White.We\'re going to be working together.

Peter: How do you do.I\'ve been looking forward to meeting you, Mr.White.

Could you introduce me to sb.?

1、I haven\'t met your Managing Director yet.(我还没有见到你们的总裁。)

2、I don\'t know anyone here.You\'ll have to introduce me.

1、Let me introduce you to our Managing Director.(请让我把您介绍给我们的总裁。);

2、I\'ll introduce you to our Managing Director , this is Mr.Johnson, our MD.

对了,是:Nice to meet you.(见到您

I\'ve heard a lot about you.(久闻大名) 。

当然用Glad to meet you.或Pleased to meet you.来替代Nice to meet you.
