As we all know, there is a common phenomenon that people are poor in spoken English even that English study is a compulsory subject from primary school to university.You may ask how to solve this problem and what can we do when pupils fail to talk.
the problems will be solved once the causes are clear.The reasons are the followings: firstly, English is a foreign language for our Chinese and it is quiet hard for the pupils to communicate fluently with few words learned at cla.Secondly, in China, English is a subject rather than a skill, let alone the pupils.For most of the students, English is about remembering vocabularies, reciting articles, dictating the words learned at cla, finishing papers.Few realize its communication purpose.English is more a subject than a language.Thirdly, some pupils are not confident about their pronunciation and they are afraid of being mocked by others.
Now let’s talk about the solutions to the problems:
At first, our teachers should figure out some creative teaching method to make the foreign and difficult language funny and easy to learn.To make it active and interactive may be the best way for it. How to make the cla active and why?
Playing games, sing English songs, group talk, speech contest, watching English cartoon and movies are some ways to make it active.The most important is to make every student be part of your cla and be happy in learning English .
The way for interactive can be Q&A, that is Question and Answer.Let’s talk one for example: the given topic: “ what’s your favorite?” Givens words: food: apples, bananas, pears, oranges….
Hobbies: climbing, travelling, reading…
Color: white, red, black…..

students will be happy in cla and learn how to use the daily expreions for talking rather than few words.Secondly, as we all know, as Chinese traditional education, studying English is focused on the exam.So, most English teachers are ignoring the most important thing communication.as a new time English teacher.We should follow the steps of the time.In English cla, we must creat more real and interesting situation to help students to communicate.what’s more, giving students more chances to act out.Because language is using to communicate, students
