Today I’ll talk about a game Killer of Three Kingdoms(KTK)
• It’s is a board role-playing game, which is designed by four students from Communication University of China based on an American game “BANG!” . The Cards used in this game can be claified into 4 types: • ID Card or Role Card • General Card • Health Point Card • Game Card It’s hard to explain their use with using them.So I’d like to introduce how to play the game as well as the cards.At the beginning of the game, every player will be aigned a special role randomly , which decides how to play right.
There are 4 kinds of role cards.And their miions are different.• Lord: Kill all the insurgents and spies with the help of ministers.• Minister：Spare no effort to help and protect the lord，has the same task with the lord.• Insurgent：The only miion is to kill the lord.• Spy：Kill all players except the lord firstly, then kill him one on one.
I’m used to playing 5-player board.There is 1 lord, 1minister, 2 insurgents and 1 spy.Also, as the chart shows, 4 to 10 people are OK while the roles distributed are changed.Plus, if there are only 2 players, each can chooses 3 generals, 3 VS 3, is also OK.The one who gets the role “Lord” should show his role card to let others know while the others’ are hidden, just like the famous game “Killer ”.
After the roles confirmed，the lord selects a general from 5 selectable general cards，and then the others take their turns to choose，but only three cards for each of them.In the standard edition，there are 25 generals can be chose，and it’s increased by some expansion packs.Every general has his or her special abilities and health point.
Let’s take an Example: Liu Bei (Shu), as we can see, his health point is 4, and his special skills are:
• Humanity：in his round，he can distribute any pieces of his cards to other players in any way, and if he hands out two or more cards, he recovers 1 health point.• Dare（lord skill)：whenever he need to play a Slash card, he can invite Shu characters to play instead.Only the lord can use this skill.Then it’s time to draw Game Cards.Each one will get 4 at beginning.The lord plays first.Everyone will get another 2 cards at his turn before playing or discarding.The game cards includes basic cards, equipment cards and stratagem cards.
1.Basic Card
• Slash
If playing it to a target within your attack range, The target would lose one point blood.Every turn only one Slash card can be played.• Dodge
When you are the target of Slash, you can play a Dodge to avoid the effect of Slash.• Peach
It can be used in 2 situations: 1.in your turn, you can recover 1 point blood by using it.2.if there is a general(include yourself) dying, you can use it to save him or her.2.Equipment Card

Attack range: 1.In your turn, you can play any amounts of Slash with it.• Armor • Horse 3.Stratagem Card Example Drown in Happine The target of this card will be judged at the beginning of the affected round:
reveal the top card of the card pile, if it is a heart card, he will not be affected; or else, he will lose the action step.
General Death When a general’s health point below zero or le, namely into the dying state, unle themselves or others at this time play “peach” to save the general, otherwise the general will be out.If the general out, dumping the general\'s card as well as judgment card, and show his ID cards.
1.Anyone that killed insurgent (even the murderer is other insurgent) will immediately gets three game cards.
2.If the lord kills minister, Lord should immediately discard all the hand cards and equipment cards.
Game Over If any of the following circumstances happen, the game immediately ends:
1.Lord was killed.Then if the spy is the only one alive, then spy wins, or the insurgents win( no matter insurgents are dead or alive).
2.All insurgents and spies were killed.Lord and ministers( no matter ministers are dead or alive) win.
The 5-player board often takes le than 20 minutes.Usually, the more players, the longer the game lasts.
