Teaching is not only playing basketball ,more is to be human
Last week we saw a film named Coach Carter .It is based on a true story about the high school basketball coach Ken Carter .
A coach who name Ken carter in Richmond high school became famous because he made a decision that the temporarily closed training venue, all the players go to the library to review their leons, credit standard training shall be resumed.His decision is not accepted by the team and his parents .they are so confusion and angry .They can not understand why he did such a strange decision
Reason is sample but far-reaching significance.Because he not only hope they can win the basketball match ,but also can Graduate and enter the university.There is a fact that in Richmond high school only 50% of the students can graduate, can in the graduate students, only 6% go to the college.And those black children who cant’t go to college soon after the graduation, there will be a third of people into the prison.
He hope that they will be able to have good physical ability to win the game at the same time, also can have the same excellent cultural achievements to graduate and enter the university.He wants to use his own experience tell the campaign team: win the game is important ,but only the School education can make their life become better, but can\'t do it by the basketball.
In the movie, I can feel carter coaches not only teach them how to play basketball more is to teach them how to behave.When coach carter took over the team, he told his players the first requirement is to be punctual.If a person can be punctual every time ,he will not waste any time to do something poible can change his life.The seconde requirement is asking them to commensurate with \"Sir\", and set the rules should carry in the competition, he sets a good example ,under his influence,the players don’t swear , don’t fight , learned to control their emotions and rational look at the game’s winning or losing.Not only win the honor ,lose also have poise.Although in the end, the team lost the game, but the players can still face, like a winner and has earned the respect of rival .
