needletosay,oneofthebiggestopportunitiesgiventochinaisthe2008olympicgames.tillnow,wehaveusedtwoseventhsofthepreparationtime.howmuchchangeshaveyouseen?newroads,newsubwaylines,public-exercisingequipmentswithbeautifulcolors,largeblocksofgrafields,andalsolotsofmoderngymswhichareunderconstruction.otherthanthose,thereareevenmoregoodeffectsbroughttousbytheolympicgamesthatcannotbeseendirectly.forexample,moreandmorepeoplewillgettoknowchina.i’msurethemysteriouschineseculturewillattractthemstrongly.andthegameswillalsodogoodtotheeconomyandenvironment,foritisgainingtheattentionofforeigninvestorsandtheawareneofenvironmentalprotectionisbeingstrengthened.whatismore,olympicgamesgiveauniqueopportunitytoinspireandeducateanewgenerationofchineseyouthwiththeolympicvaluesandtheolympicspirit.nowthatwehaveseensomanyadvances,couldyouevenimagineuslosingtheholdingrights? i’vealreadysaidalotabouttheolympicsandchina.butithinkeveryoneshouldusesometimetothinkofthisquestion,”doestheolympicgameshaveanyspecialmeaningtoyou?”
forus,imeanthechineseyouth,2008olympicgamesisatremendousgift.becausewhatwearewaitingforistodosomethingsignificantasrepayingthelovegiventous.thesocietyisjustlikeaship,andinourdreamsthecaptainiswavinghishandandsaying”hey!comehereandtakethehelm!”howcharminghisvoiceis,butwehaveneverheardofitinourtruelife.thismorning,however,whenwewakeup,wewillseetheolympicgameswavingitshand.afterchewing,mostofuswillhaveatleastoneplanaboutwhattodofortheolympicgames.andmineistobea“comforter”----thatiomeonewhowillgivecomforttoothers.attheendofmyspeech,ihopeallthepreparationwillgowell,andeveryonewillshowtheirabilitytotheworld.letueizeopportunitiesandgiveabigsmiletochallenges.
