You Are the Apple of My Eye
I had a little surprise when my cousin told me that my little baby sister was born last year.Is it true? I asked myself.The reason why I just had a little surprise was my parents once asked me whether it was ok for me to have a little sister or brother.I said ok at that time.I took no count of their words because it was out of the question.How old were they? How old was I? When I knew the news I thought it was a little funny.I actually didn’t find my mother was pregnant the whole winter holiday! How silly I was! When I was going to prove to my parents my dad sent a photo of my new-born sister.Just on the soft baby crib, in the narrow and small baby room of hospital, curled a tiny, cute, plump baby.(1)I was looking at the photo for a long time and asked myself, I have a little sister? Does she really is my sister? Unbelievable!
Then, I started to imagine what was the kiddy doing right now? Sleeping or suckling? Or babbling? I urged my parents to send her photo to me almost every day; I can’t wait to see her!
Time paed too slowly and it was two months before I was able to return home.I was excited in the whole proce.She was sleeping all the time! I held her and stared at her.Her body just liked a small tree, limbs liked some new twigs.She took after me as I was an infant.There was no doubt she was my little baby sister! I placed my lips on her clubby check and thanked God for the bundle of joy he had brought into my life.
She had become a little naughty when at 4 months old.That was my summer holiday too, so I had a lot of time to play with her.We went out every fine morning, strolled along the boulevard, enjoyed the smiling face of the flowers.(3) No doubt it was the best time of our
day.
The summer lake, turquoise-blue, was rippling blue waves in the morning light.(2) I sat down beside her baby carriage, smelling the fragrance of flowers and listened to the birds.She was too tired to open her eyes, so I always teased her and took photos for her.
Several days earlier was her first birthday, she still can’t talk or walk, but she likes to do this.The little fellow sat on the sofa by herself, dreed a red vest, slouched down her hat to cheek, winked her eyes naughtily at me.（5）I went to her and thought there was no child more than attractive like her in the world.Her voice is loud and clear, and likes to smiles to everyone she meets.She isn’t shy with strangers.This is the reason why people like her too.
The end of holiday means I had to go back to school.I always mi her and think about what she is doing now.Her delicate nose embedded in her white and ruddy small face, her little mouth puckered up because of diatisfaction, her chubby hands poked her dimple, her watery big eyes glared at you as if you were do something wrong.(4) All of these about her are sweet.
Last year our family experienced many things, the arrival of this baby bring much pleasure to us.Not only my parents and grandparents but me regard her as the apple of our eyes.She gained much attention from us and I believe she will grow up not to be nervous.
