Emma:(Walks into the room, smiling).Good afternoon.
爱玛：（微笑走进房间）午安
Cooper:(Nods).Good afternoon.
库伯：（点头）午安。
Emma:(Offers her hand).Nice to meet you.
爱玛：（伸出手来）幸会。
Cooper:(Shakes Emma\'s hand).Nice to meet you, Mi Lin.Please sit down.
库伯：（与爱玛握手）林小姐，幸会。请坐。
Emma:(Sitting down).Thank you.
爱玛：（坐下）谢谢。
Cooper:Okay.Let\'s begin by asking why you are interested in working as a flight
attendant.
库伯： 好的。一开始，我想先问问你为什么想当空中乘务员
Emma:Well, I enjoy working with people in a customer service based environment, and I am keen to see more of the world.Being a flight attendant would enable me to bring together these two interests.
爱玛： 是这样的，我喜欢在一个客服性质的环境下，做接触人群的工作，而且我很想多见识见识这世界。当空中乘务员能让我同时完成这两项心愿。
Cooper:Certainly, it would.Mi Lin, there are many airlines—why do you want to work for us?
库伯： 确实如此。林小姐，航空公司有很多家——你为什么想为我们工作？
Emma:EastWest Airlines has a great reputation.I also think your flight destinations are fantastic, and Iwould love to work for such an international, succeful company.

Co:(Glancing at his papers).Okay, good.According to your application form, you have no previous in-flight experience.What makes you right for this job?

Em:Having worked closely with the public in other jobs, I am used to and enjoy working with people.Also, because this is what I really want to do, I\'m willing to learn all the neceary skills needed to become a first-cla flight attendant.

Cooper:(Nodding).Okay, excellent.And what skills do you think you could bring to working with us?库伯： （点头）好，很不错。跟我们共事，你觉得自己有什么技能能派上用场？
Emma:I\'m an excellent, confident communicator, and I respond positively to new situations and challenges.I work well in a team or alone, and am experienced in delivering high levels of customer service.I also speak French and German fluently.

Cooper:Great.So, what do you think the most important flight attendant duties are?
库伯： 很好。那么，你觉得空中乘务员的职责中，最重要的是什么？
Emma:To ensure the constant safety and comfort of the paengers, and also to provide outstanding customer service.
爱玛： 确保乘客一路的安全与舒适，而且提供一流的客服。
Cooper:That\'s right.And what is the most important quality for flight attendants to have?
库伯： 没错。那么你觉得空中乘务员最重要的特质是什么？
Emma:That they are excellent communicators.
爱玛： 他们必须是一流的沟通者。
Cooper:Why is that important?
库伯： 为什么这很重要？
Emma:Because the job requires you to relate to people of all backgrounds and
cultures in many different situations.
爱玛： 因为这份工作需要你在许多不同的情况下，与来自各种背景与文化的人打交道。
Cooper:Indeed, yes.So...what would you do if you couldn\'t communicate with a paenger?
库伯： 确实如此。那么……若你没办法跟乘客沟通，会怎么做？
Emma:I would use non-verbal communication, such as smiling and looking confident, to reaure them that I was aware of them, and their poible needs.
爱玛： 我会用语言之外的沟通方式，像是微笑并表现出自信的模样，好让他们确知我了解他们的心意及他们可能的需求。
Cooper:Okay, good.And what if a paenger tried to hara you?
库伯： 好。那么如果有乘客企图骚扰你呢？
Emma:I would remain calm, polite and non-confrontational.If I couldn\'t resolve the situation myself, I would ask a senior staff member to aist me.爱玛： 我会保持镇定、礼貌，不起冲突。如果我自己没办法收拾这局面，就会请其它资深员工协助我。
Cooper:Excellent.But what if a drunk paenger was behaving violently?
库伯： 很好。但是万一乘客喝醉了，一副恶形恶状的模样该怎么办呢？
Emma: Again, I would stay calm to maintain order in the cabin.I would try to calm the paenger down by being not only empathetic but also authoritative.
：同样地，我会保持镇定，维持座舱中的秩序。我会软硬兼施，设法让这位乘客冷静下来。
Cooper:(Nodding).Well, Mi Lin, we have reached the end of the interview.Thank you very much for coming.库伯：（点头）好的，林小姐，我们面试到此为止。很感谢你的参与。
