Unit 4 We Love Animals

Students: 40 students, grade 3
Leon duration: 30 minutes
Teaching aims:
By the end of the leon, students should be able to:
a) know the key words about animals‟ names:rabbit,pig,monkey,elephant(learned)
dog,duck,panda,cat,squirrel,zoo,mouse…
b)learn to use the sentence structure:I have ….and how to react to this sentencec) develop the interest towards English,
d) learn to cooperate with clamates.participate in the group working
Teaching content:
Vocabulary of animals
I have a rabbit/panda…Wow/Oh,really?May I have a look?

Pictures, blackbord, chalk, animal toys, punishing cards…

Teaching procedures:
Step1: Lead in.(5 minutes)
Creat a scene that I went to a zoo yesterday,and some animals in the zoo asked me to bring them to say „hello‟ to the students,and take out the prepared toys, andask them to gue and say out the animals‟ names one by one .They are Mr.and Mrs Rabbit,Mr.Elephant,Mi Monkey and Mr.Pig.
Step 2:Presention(10min)
1:我说：今天我们邀请到了这么多动物来跟我们一起上课，那么让我们盼到第40页，学习第4课Unit4 We Love Animals
2我说：同学们，老师手里呢，已经有兔子先生和太太，大象先生，猴小姐还有猪先生，现在呢，给到你们手上，留一个猪先生到我手上，那么我想告诉你们我有一只猪，要怎么说呢？想不想知道呀？

I‘ll teach them how to talk about the things they have..and teach them to make a diologue with this sentence.
3:practice this diologue on the textbook
4:take out the prepared pictures (new words with related pictures) and say:昨天老师在动物园呢，还有一些动物啊，来不了，所以它们让老师给他们照了几张相片来关心下大家，所以，接下来，让我们来认识一下这些新朋友。”and thenteach them how to read these new words and imitate their sounds to make cla more funny and interesting.
5:check out their learning by invite some students to read the dialogue or make a new dialogue with the new words.
Step3:Practice/Production(8min)
I‟ll use a Rock-Paper-Sciors Game to check if they really accepted the new leon.The rule is like this:
1)Divide the students into two groups,and choose one student to be the judge,
2）Each group choose one student to complete with another group .the loser team based on the Rock-Paper-Sciors Game have to choose one student to accept the punish.and I;ve got some punish cards.the punishment may be act like rabbit,hunt like a mouse…
Step4: Summary(5min)
Summary the new words and new sentence .and point the focus point to the student.and ask the student to read the new learned words again to strengthen the new knowledge.
Step5:Homework (2min)
Copy and recite the new words,each words 10 times.
Tell their parents the new learned words
Look for more animals‟ names.
Replection:
All the students took an active participation in my cla,and the students remembered most of the animals‟ namesand know how touse “I have”
The effect is very good ,
