At present, there are four local carriers in Urumqi international airport such as China Southern Airlines Xinjiang branch, Hainan Airlines Xinjiang branch, Tianjin Airlines, Urumqi Airlines.By the end of December 2015, 33 airlines have operated scheduled paenger flights to Xinjiang with 214 routes to/from Xinjiang Airports, Urumqi International Airport links 17 countries including 27 foreign（regional）cities and 62 domestic cities.Of which 15 domestic airlines have operated scheduled paenger flights in Xinjiang’s regional air market and 7 regional airports has opened 18 non-stop routes to inland China, and “co-terminalization” and circle trip flights have been operated among the 10 regional airports.Urumqi airport’s service and support functions of the national west gateway air hub is gradually improved.The Korla sub-hub route network in Xinjiang has taken shape.The route network layout in Xinjiang with Urumqi regional hub airport as the core has taken shape.天涯比邻，缘结四海。2015年新疆机场完成旅客吞吐量2536万人次，同比增长15.7%，货邮吞吐量完成17.79万吨，保障各类飞行起降30.2万架次，同比增长16.4%。其中乌鲁木齐国际机场完成旅客吞吐量超过1850万人次，货邮吞吐量15.65万吨，保障航班起降15.3万架次，位列全国千万级大型机场行列的第15位。喀什国际机场、库尔勒机场、阿克苏机场年旅客吞吐量均已突破100万人次，相继成为“百万级”中型机场，进入全国机场前70名。
A bosom friend afar brings a distant land near.In 2015, Xinjiang Airport Group handled 25.36 million paenger throughput with year-on-year growth of 15.7%，handled 177,900 tons of cargo and mail throughput, and supported movements of 302,000 with year-on-year growth of 16.4%.Among which Urumqi International Airport handled 18.50 million paenger throughput, cargo throughput of 156,500 tons, and supported movements of 153,000, it ranked the 15th among the ten-million-paenger large-sized airports nationwide.The paenger throughput in three airports, i.e, Kashi International Airport, Korla Airport and Aksu Airport, have succefully exceeded 1 million paenger-times and the three airports have been ranked the medium-sized airports with one-million-paenger throughput in China succeively, all of the three airports ranked the 70th among the national airports.
