二、现在进行时
（一）定义
表示正在进行的动作或存在的状态。现在进行时表示动作发生的时间是“现在”，动作目前的状态是“正在进行中”。如：
She is reading in the library now.I am having dinner at the moment.
（二）基本结构
采用现在进行时的句子结构一般为：
主语+be doing+其他成分
其中，be会随着主语的变化而变化，主要形式有：am/is/are。am的主语为第一人称单数I，is的主语为第三人称单数，are的主语为第一人称复数、第二人称单数和复数、第三人称复数。如：
She is smiling.I am cooking.You are joking.
（三）动词现在分词的变化规则
现在进行时的基本结构“主语+be doing+其他成分”中的doing，在英语里叫做动词的现在分词。
常见的变化规则有：
1、直接+ing
如：working、playing、sweeping
2、去e+ing
这类动词都是以不发音的e结尾的。如：
taking、writing、breathing
3、双写+ing 这类动词是以重读闭音节结尾的。如：
stopping、shutting、dugging
4、特殊情况
这类动词主要是指以“辅音字母+ie”结尾的，此时要改ie为y，再+ing。如
die——dying、lie——lying、tie——tying
（四）主要用法
1、表此刻正在进行的动作
She is doing her homework now.
The children are playing games in the park at the moment.
2、表一段时间内正在发生的动作
Everyone\'s losing money these days.
They are preparing for the coming test this week.
3、表将来
主要用于表示按计划或安排要发生的动作，常有“意图；决定”的意思。这类动词多为表示位置移动变化动词，如arrive、come、get、go、leave、return等。如：
They are getting married next month.She is arriving by train tomorrow.
4、表习惯
现在进行时与频度副词连用，常用来表示习惯性行为，但说话的时候该行为不一定正在进行。如：
She is always talking nonstop.（她总是说个不停。）
He is constantly interfering in my affairs.（她老是干预我的事。） 【注意】
1、并不是所有动词都有进行时 这些动词往往是表示情感状态、知觉认识、愿望或短暂性的动词。例如：see（明白）、know（知道；了解）、want（需要；想要）、like（喜欢）、hear、have（有）、think（想；认为）、hope、hate 等。
2、用在从句中表将来
在时间和条件状语从句中，有时可用现在进行时代替一般将来时。如：
When you are paing my way, please drop in.（你什么时候路过我家，请进来坐。）
3、动词be的现在进行时
主要用于表示一时的表现或暂时存在的状态。如：
He is foolish.他很傻。（生性如此）
He is being foolish.他显得很傻。（指一时的表现，并非总是如此） He is friendly.他很友好。（一直如此）
He is being friendly.他显得很友好。（指暂时的表现，而且不一定真诚）
（五）标志性词语
1、now They are cleaning the claroom now.
2、at the moment She is talking with her mother on the phone at the moment.
3、these days、this week、this month、this term等近段时间
Bobby is learning French this month.
4、look、listen等提示语
look和listen常用于句子的开头，表示提醒听者注意正在发生的事情。如：
Look! The bus is coming.Listen! Someone is playing the piano next door.
（六）句型转换
因为be doing中的be是助动词，所以在转换为否定句时，只要直接在be后面加not。如：
We are making cakes in the kitchen.We are not （或aren\'t） making cakes in the kitchen 如果要转换为一般疑问句或对划线部分提问，也只要把助动词be提到前面即可。如：
isn\'t.
She is watering the flowers in the garden now.Is she watering the flowers in the garden now? Yes, she is./ No, she What is she doing in the garden now? (提问的是watering the flowers)
