Summary Thanks to our institute for giving such a wonderful opportunity to us, we have given an excellent chance to improve our comprehensive English skills in yanshuo Ancient Towns, Guilin, Guangxi province.During the five-day practice, I experienced some totally different customs.The main purpose of this practice is to improve oral English skills in Yangshuo.Included in each group activities, I seized every chance to practice my oral English.Though, I can\'t ensure that my spoken English has jumped a very high step, at least, I found self-confidence, and the method to improve my profeional skills.Anyway, our practice activities were carried out smoothly, and i have benefited a lot.Our high expectation will never be disappointed, as is always firmly believed.When we arrived at Yangshuo that morning, Mi Yi ,our leader, gave us a free day to relax and this is the beginning of our five-day practice.In Yang Shuo, you cannot help but wonder what you are going to talk about and how you get close to foreigners.It just took me le then one hour in chatting with a small coffee bar’s shopkeeper.He told me something about foreigners’ attitudes towards some questions.And I am interested in finding the most truthful answers from the people’s hearts.For example, in the sight of foreign people, how do they think of Chinese on earth? I think it’s very important to know about some effective methods and techniques when talking directly with foreigners for the first time.When having conversations with foreign friends I got a lot of chances to talk with them.They were real friendly people, because they were very happy to share some opinions with me.To begin with, it wasn’t easy; I was failed when talking to the first and second foreign people.For the first one, because I walked directly and didn\'t say \"hello\" to him, it’s not polite enough, he was not willing to communicate with me; For the second one, because he is a Spaniard, he was not speak English but Spanish, I was very polite this time, but he refused me with a \"No\" and went away.Looking for the third, I thought that Spaniard refused me wasn’t my fault, because he spoke Spanish but nothing more.I got more courage and confidence to find foreign friends and speak English, it turned out to be a
great succe, owning to my conclusion of the experience and good preparation of the topic.With the succeful experience, I felt more confident and proud.According to the succeful model, it’s easy for me to communicate with foreign friends next to the pool, on the street corner, in the supermarket and restaurant or wherever.Because my English is not very poor, I can have a smooth conversation with foreign friends within a period time.Of course, they were willing to help me to fill out those questionaire papers , which help me understand foreigners better.
To my personal experience, on the one hand, this trip did make me realized myself.Having talked different people, I know that how narrow my knowledge is.For example, on one occasion I talked with two guys who were from England.In theory, I should have a good background for talking with them, because we have a course which all about England.But I didn’t take a serious attitude to this course.Lacks of information, our talks were not frequent enough.After this experience, I got that I have learned my leons that we should learn what we could learn while in the school.Then, each time we face the opportunities, we have the enough ability to take it.In the other hand, I know how to face the problems and overcome them.
In addition to this, it did open my eyes and went to my little world.From all of our news, magazines, and internet, we have told that China have developed rapidly and will regain the main role in the whole world again.Indeed, through this trip in Yangshuo I got my answer.More and more foreigners want to settle down in China, maybe few years later, we would find in the street in our city.Foreigners are no longer strange in our daily life, and you are good at English and your oral English sounds like the native.You needn’t worry about there isn’t an atmosphere environment for practicing.For globalizing, we should always up to date our information.As a student, I get that the more I want to improve the more should I prepare and learn.
In these seven days, except the English conversation with foreign friends, we were also paid a visit to some famous scenery.The magnificent mountains, the long river, all make me deeply admit defeat; Big banyan, the moon hill scenery is beautiful; Hot water caves coolne threatening, but refreshing; Even the evening stroll the west street also let us forget.Here, no wheel rolling noisy, no earthly trivial blatant, some
just picturesque landscape, and the local conditions and customs of honest people.Visit each big attractions, visit Yangshuo is to let open horizon, but also learn a lot without knowledge textbooks.The biggest feeling is, I found the Zhuang and dispositions of charm, let me very is unforgettable.
The second-grade students in our foreign language who are going to yangshuo are reluctant to come back at the beginning.There is beautiful landscape painting, rural scenery as the poem said.It makes us fascinating.We are unable to make out West street forever.There are a the Land of Peach Blooms in Guilin, the landscape is world-renowned ! I don\'t regret going there! Yangshuo is a really good landscape for people to travel and relax. We were not only improved our oral English in this practise, but also have a good relax from the nervous college-school life, increased some knowledge and expand the field of vision.Therefore, if we have another chance, I still love to have such a practice in Yangshuo.After oral practice, we have harvested a lot of knowledge, Which I aware of my own shortcomings in English communication.It gave me a definite direction in the future English learning, and let my English study more couragable and powerful.It’s very lucky to have the chance to exercise and test myself, I believe the internship harvest will let me benefit for life.
